Mi Casita Lillington — Restaurant in Lillington

Wait staff needs to work as a team instead of individual service, and certain wait staff are stealing from you Jesus. Some of the male staff act like children when working. You’ve got cameras, watch and listen or be there to witness, however when you are in the store they act differently. Either be there, to “Manage” or have someone there to be a reputable manager other than Rafiel. This is not the Mi Casita that I have known for many, many years! Sportszone is a money maker for you. Your Mexican restaurant locations are going to suffer loses due to lack of good management. Trust what I am saying here. After posting this, and returning to the restaurant the staff appeared to be aware of my previous post, and would not speak to me and avoided giving me service. I would walk in the door and they would scatter in an effort to avoid me. I understand that Mexicans stick together as a culture, but it was me that felt discriminated against. With this being practiced in this restaurant I feel that I need to find a friendlier environment/restaurant to spend my money at. With proper management this for me would not be occurring! This was my husband & I’s first time here and we enjoyed it so much! Starting with the customer service. Our server, Raul, was incredible. He was welcoming and attentive. We tried the fresh guacamole and it was good! It was more like chunks of avocado instead of mashed avocado, which is what I’m used to, but either way, we liked it. My husband got the carnitas plate and I got the carne asada. Both so so delicious!! I did like his carnitas more though. The seasoning was on point. The horchata was also one of the best I’ve ever had. Ugh. I wish I had more!! I recommend this place. We love the food ! The staff is nice but they will ignore you. You will have to wave them down when you need anything at all, including your bill. The seats have a lot of duct tape holding them together and it's outdated which in lillington is common. While I love the food I personally have gotten food poisoning, and tried to eat there again and got a very sour stomach. Now out of our family of 4 I was the only one this has happened to. And this is my sons favorite restaurant in town. So while next time we go I'll choose an American dish, we will probably go there again.
