Oh, this place is amazing. Situated in a strip mall in Johnston, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Every conversation is made for your comfort! Claustrophobics (I'm one!) - have no fear. The cave is not "cave-y". The zero gravity chairs are the perfectly comfortable for your 45-minute session. I felt so incredibly relaxed. The 45 minutes flew by! We were encouraged to take our time coming out of the "cave." There is a lovely room to sit afterward, to have water and snacks and to peruse the books and the decor. Since my session last week, I have felt marvelous - maybe it was the salt, maybe it was the peace and quiet and relaxation or maybe it was just doing something for myself and a very dear friend, but I have felt marvelous all week. This man-made cave is a place to come relax. Your 45 minute session starts with gentle music and a brief guided meditation. The music continues and the "voice" comes back on near the end to let you know the time is almost up. Sessions start on the hour, so there are a few minutes Grace period where you can relax and come back to reality. I went with my friend who was having sinus problems that day. After the session her sinuses had cleared up and she felt better. Overall there is a calming atmosphere, even outside the salt cave. With all the different shifts of what’s going on in the world lately, I’ve been feeling very on edge and anxious. Today, I had an appointment at Saltitude for the first time and was so warmly welcomed. The entire experience is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. The salt cave is absolutely beautiful, the message and soft music while you’re relaxing is so calming, the back area is beautifully lit and they even offer you tea, coffee, water after your meditation. After visiting Saltitude I feel so relaxed and this is definitely something that I will continue to do. I was even able to purchase some essential oil rollers and incense.
