Slightly overpriced but not as bad as some shops. One of the owners, tall guy with glasses, is awesome. Pleasant, knowledgeable, funny, and fair. The shorter guy is rude, unprofessional, and seemingly has no clue what heâs doing. Might want to consider watching some videos on how to interact with customers. Iâd give this place 5 stars if it wasnât for him. Worth checking out if you can get a word in edgewise. Huge inventory of singles.
EDIT: As you can see from the reply he is extremely condescending. Talking to me like I have no idea how the industry works. I know how TCG works and I know how to price cards and assess condition. Itâs not rocket science. I have years of experience. This is a perfect example of how this owner doesnât fully understand how to interact with customers. Shame.
If we want to get specific this guy was trying to tell me that a Leafeon VMAX 205/203 was worth $180 because thatâs what it was last sold for on TCG đ As I type this the lowest current asking price on TCG by a VERIFIED seller is $140 with free shipping. Multiple listings at that price as well. I showed him that and he said âokay then buy that oneâ so I walked away laughing. If weâre talking last sold, which I also take into account when pricing cards, then I go to eBay comps like everyone else. The last four sales for this card raw as of 10/24/23 are $100, $119.99, $86.56, and $151.99. Not even CLOSE to $180.
I DID actually sell all four of the cards I had with me later that day to a card shop in chesterfield after I left this booth. They paid exactly what I wanted because my pricing was spot on. You guys missed out on a great deal because of your pride. I hope you learn from...
Read moreI don't leave many reviews but this team of people genuinely deserve this one. We have yet to visit their physical store, but we see Epicenter Gaming at almost every card show and convention we attend and they are, hands down, the highlight of each one, acting as the ideal representative and example of what we wish all of the TCG community was like. Their booth is always VERY well stocked, they are always VERY social but professional, and they make us feel like old friends every time we visit. Despite only seeing us once or twice a quarter, at most, they remember us each time and offer us nice deals, work with us on pricing when able, and show us their best products. We plan to visit their store someday, but until then we actively look forward to seeing them at every card show and convention. Thanks for being such a great representative of the card...
Read moreIâll keep it simple. The most important thing you can do for your local gaming community is to support your local game store. This store makes doing that childâs play. Theyâll bend over backward to help you however they can, and theyâre as knowledgeable as they come; but the fun they bring to your (gaming) table shines through more than anything. Iâd put them up against your grandmaâs best recipe. Thatâs right, I said it. Theyâre better than your grannyâs chocolate chip cookies. Donât argue with me. Stop in sometime and see just how right I am. (Located in Lincoln between Funville and...
