I’ve been out here 5+ months for a job. My boots finally went freaking out cause I have a certain taste I came across The Fort. On my day off I went up there from Kansas. I have to say it’s very impressive when you walk in they had everything from western ware belts, hats, buckles, wallets, boots to FR clothing I was truly AMAZED! Cause if anyone is in the work force of needing FR clothing you know it can be a pain finding some let alone the right ones. At first young man came up I asked where the steel/carbon toe was he showed me and at first it seemed like he was wanting me to get a certain one I had no taste for but talking to him he let me look, piratically he’d come up checking to see if everything was good if I needed help at one point he took it spin himself to try and find some boots in my size that I couldn’t find and it took my time than expected, I was surprised how he kept taking the time to look for me. You don’t see that very much. After a bit I narrowed my search and I had a young woman help me out and she did the same. I’m highly impressed that these employees went this far out of the way to actually make me feel like an important customer. Few days later I had the receipt blow out of my truck thinking I had to drive a hour n half back to get another. I called and spoke to a employee Olivia and she was beyond helpful she went out of her way to find the receipt in the computer log took a picture and sent it me, no waiting, no let get back to you, no putting me on hold.. again blew my mind, I plan on going back an getting a few extra things. This place is Absolutely BadAss! I wanna give a shout out to Olivia and the other employees for going above and beyond and treating a customer how they are supposed to be! I Love the...
Read moreThey dropped the ball. I called on a Friday & ordered a pair of cowboy boots for my daughter to wear to camp 7 days before I needed them. They needed to get them in from Nebraska City and I was told they would be here by Monday or Tuesday & would call me when they arrived. Wednesday rolled around with no phone call from them so I called them up. They said the truck came in late Tuesday night so I would probably get a call later in the day on Wednesday. Thursday rolled around with still no phone call, so I called them up and they finally told me Nebraska City had sent the wrong boots. They said they were expecting another truck that night and "hopefully" the correct pair would be on the truck, and I would get a call as soon as they checked them in. No phone call came in, so I called around 2pm. They still did not have the boots, nor did they know where they were. I was leaving to take my daughter to camp at that time, so she ended up having to wear running shoes. I think I should have received a phone call on Tuesday/Wednesday letting me know they received the wrong boots, so that I could have made a decision as to go someplace else, or order a different pair. Very disappointed in my first (and...
Read moreHave you ever tried to break in a pair of boots that just didn't quite end up breaking in how you like them? Have you ever tried to return them and they told you you should have only worn them around the house? Have you ever read about a store's "Hassle Free No Questions Return policy" and end up being questioned and hassled? If these things have ever happened to you, I would not recommend The Fort-South Lincoln with any purchases then. I've been buying boots from here since 2014 and never had an issue until I ended up in a pair that ended up rubbing my ankle wrong while breaking them in. This isn't my first rodeo, I've broken in boots before, I know it takes some time and some discomfort. But being told I should have only worn them at home to break them in, that was a new one. Don't wear them outside the house until they are totally broken in folks! If you wear them to the office just once they will be ruled ineligible for a hassle free no...
