The Mettle Grill — Restaurant in Lincoln

It's a bit of a drive from where I live (near downtown Lincoln) but it's well worth the trip; especially if you live in South Lincoln, it's just minutes away. I love food, and have been in the food/restaurant profession for many years, and I will always recommend people come here to eat. I visit at least a few times a month, and have introduced dozens of people to the spot. The food is always great and made to order, the staff friendly, and the owner is always around to cook your food or just say hi. The spinach artichoke dip is among the best I've ever had, and I've eaten it at every restaurant that I've been to (that offers it). My other personal favorites are the garlic parmesan wings, the Philly, or the two chicken wraps. The sweet potato fries and chipotle ranch are a must as a side. But you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, as Sus has expertly crafted each item to not only look great, but taste great too. The bar side of the restaurant is where I tend to hang out, as I love the atmosphere, however, there is plenty of seating indoors and out for whatever vibe you're going for. Family dinner at the Mettle Grill last week. It's been months since we've been in! Had to start with Spinach Dip and Salsa app. Best dip in town, kids loved it too and it's far from their favorite ordinarily.

My husband tried the Chicken Fried Steak for the first time. Said it was good, liked the gravy and mashed potatoes but nothing really stood out. My daughter went crazy for his green beans, super garlicky, and stole half off his plate! Fish and Chips for me again, theirs are hard to beat, sooo crispy and yummy! Fantastic Coleslaw and tartar, have to ask for lemon. Fries perfectly crispy as well.

Little dude loved his Cheeseburger! He requested Coleslaw (cuz what 6 year old doesn't love Coleslaw 😆) but was served fries so he ended up with both. Medium sized child loved her Hand battered Chicken Strips but didn't care for the bbq sauce cuz it was too sweet 🙃.

My new favorite restaurant! My best friend and I enjoy going out to eat at least once a week for dinner, and we decided this evening to try something new. Mettle had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. 10/10 recommend! I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but this was such a great experience for the both of us, I had to leave a good review! Our waitress was incredibly sweet, as well as informed on the menu and drinks. Also, our food was phenomenal- to a point where we can now see ourselves craving it in the future. We also asked our waitress about local beers on tap, and without hesitation she was not only able to tell us which local beers they had, but also the brewery name and where they were located. I highly recommend checking it out! Both my friend and I are very impressed and will definitely be returning soon...
