Doorstep Diner Catering — Local services in Lincoln

After my employer used Doorstep Diner to cater a few lunch meetings, where we received very positive feedback, I found out there was a Supper Club too that I use for dinners at home. Across the board, the quality of food and service provided - at the price they charge - seems practically unbeatable. Here's what stands out:

Fresh mixed greens for salads - I'm not a fan when I get a small pile of chopped iceberg lettuce for my side or lunch salads. Doorstep delivers fresh, leafy piles of mixed greens that aren't smushed or chopped to oblivion. Bonus: chopped veggies are just the right size and croutons taste homemade.

Attention to detail - whether it's following through on my request for my dressing or sauce on the side (and giving me a decent portion of it), or putting Supper Club dishes in quality aluminum packaging for easy reheating, I don't need to worry that something will spill or be disappointing.

SERVICE - I was sick for a Supper Club and missed my pick up. Laurie and Chad didn't skip a beat in replying to both an email and phone call to rearrange. No guilt-trip or hints of it being inconvenient for them to have stored my order - in fact, Chad even offered to make me a fresh salad and accommodate my new pick up time, even though they had another event that evening.

If you have not tried the Supper Club, I strongly recommend it. I was hooked after my first meal and look forward to many more!...

Short Version: Amazing food at very reasonable prices. One member of our dinner party was gluten free, and the chef was accommodating in finding alternatives.

Longer Version: Doorstep diner was an integral part of the proposal to my fiancé! I hired them to cook a 5 course meal for our families at my parents house.

My fiancés favorite cuisine is Italian. They created a great menu and even sent it to me in Italian (with English subtitles)! A week before the proposal I threw them a curveball that one member of the family has a gluten allergy. They were extremely accommodating and created alternatives for each course.

The chefs showed up on time and were very prepared to deliver an awesome meal. They did a wonderful job and everybody raved about the food. The chefs were extremely sociable and made everyone feel comfortable in a small setting. My mom said they left the kitchen cleaner than it was when they arrived to cook for us. The chefs also surprised my fiancé with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

What a wonderful caterer! We used them for our fall 2021 wedding. The tasting went very smoothly and she recommended items that would pair well together but also suited our liking. Doorstep was very open about pricing and costs as well as what was included vs not included (such as having the option to purchase their plates or provide our own). They were also able to adjust to our number of guests and even provided alternatives for those with allergies. Day of, they were right on time and the food was hot and fresh! They plated our head table and got guests through the line very quickly and neatly. We had several guests ask about the catering and say it tasted great and there was even a line for seconds. It was also in the contract that we got to keep the leftovers so we got to continue enjoying the food after the wedding was over. The best part of it all was that I wasn't stressed day of because they took care of everything catering and got it all right. I highly recommend Doorstep Diner for catering!
