Amitha Fashions is a hidden gem in the Chicago suburbs! Before going to Amitha Fashions, I had visited a few shops on Devon Street. I walked out of these stores feeling overwhelmed and confused about what I could wear to my daughter's friend's Indian wedding. I decided to go to Amitha Fashions, and the experience I had there was so wonderful and fun! Kavitha, the owner/artist - she actually designed many of the pieces she has in her store - was so warm and welcoming! She was so patient and responsive to all my questions and concerns. I wasn't sure what would be appropriate for the different Indian wedding festivities and ceremonies, and Kavitha guided me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable and totally at ease! I needed a few small alterations, and there is a tailor conveniently located in her shop. Kavitha accompanied me to the tailor and made sure the tailor understood what alterations should be done.
