Culver’s — Restaurant in Lincolnshire

I only infrequently partake of fast food and was at this particular establishment late yesterday with my daughter who opted for some chicken strips. Although the fare, the entree, appeared very run of the mill, the service rendered us by a young man by the name of "Sam" was exemplary. This is the type of employee I want working in my business, enthusiastic, attentive and thoughtful.

Having requested a specific type of sauce for her entree, Sam informed my daughter that her chosen selection was unavailable and this prompted her to choose an acceptable substitute. However, approximately five minutes later, Sam returned to the table with three sealed packets of the initially desired condiment and the enthusiasm with which he reported its availability was astounding, I could not imagine Sam being more enthralled had he won the Illinois Lottery or, say, an invitation to meet J.B Pritzker at the nearest Golden Corral for a rib tip eating contest.

Given the concomitant reality of the paucity of employees, actual or potential, wanting to work and the cow towing necessary to get anybody with a pulse to even show up, Sam's enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, innate and acquired skills are all the more impressive. The Lincolnshire Culver's has done an excellent job finding and cultivating this young man and will hopefully all it can to nurture his ambition and encourage his growth both within and outside the organization. From the outside, it looks like any other fast food joint. What differentiates this place is the people that work here. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Especially Drew, who treats us like family. Something that stood out in particular was when we asked if the frozen custard flavor of the day had any nuts in it. The young lady that was taking our order said it did not, but they would clean out the custard machine anyway to make sure there is no cross contamination. All this without being asked to do so. As a parent who had to spend a recent night in the ER with their sick child from mysterious cross contamination, this gesture meant a lot to us. Cleaning the machine before making our order took a little longer than usual so she gave us extra coupons for more ice cream scoops in the future.

A few weeks later, we were in the drive through where she recognized us and asked us if we were the ones with the kid with the nut allergy. We said we were and she told us they would clean the machine again before making our order. I regretfully never got her name but she was extremely helpful and did her job exceptionally well.

The food is always solid by fast food standards, The frozen custard is great, and the restaurant is always clean, but the people that work here makes this place really stand out from other restaurants or even other...

I got the Atlantic Cod Fish Sandwich and the Cheese Curds with Fries and Onions Rings. The Staff their were very polite and professional about taking my order. And 6 to 7 minutes my food was ready and the food was extremely on the money and the Atlantic Cod Fish Sandwich had the best crunch to it and the inside of it was extremely soft. The Fries had the best texture and the inside was soft and the salt on the Fries was perfect. Next the Onions Ring also had a wonderful crunchy to it and the inside of the onion was really tasty. And last but not least the Cheese Curds were out of this world the texture of the Cheese Curds were amazing and full of favor. And I got myself a Sprite which is my favorite soda to drink. Overall my experience at Culver's was Fantastic I would eat out every weekend and I would order the same thing every weekend. Keep up the great work Culver's...
