My husband and I came in and I read the reviews of the ordering being confusing so when we first got there I declared I hadn’t been there and asked what to do. The guy behind the counter kindly explained it to me. Basically it’s like subway for bbq. You order each stage, meat, sides, salad etc. all down a line. Different people at each station, then they hand you your food to put on your tray and you go down to the register and pay. Now, the food. I got combo plate with 3 meats, beef brisket, burnt ends, and pulled pork. The burnt ends were the BEST! Pulled pork was ok, the brisket was disappointing because it was pretty fatty. I got the corn bake (dry) and the coleslaw (great). My husband got a combo with 2 meats, sausage and burnt ends, he liked both. His sides were creamed spinach and corn bake and he said the same about the corn bake and really liked the spinach. We split the urban poutine with burnt ends on it and I’ll tell you, since we are only in town for one night, I have to go back today for lunch to get it again it was so good! The gravy was the best on the burnt ends! Skip all the other stuff and just get this! Loved this place and the staff was so friendly! An older gentleman accidentally toppled his tray over at the cash register and his food went all over him and the floor and the cashier was so nice, just gave him a little table flag and had him go sit down so they could remake it for him and bring it to him while she came around the corner and cleaned it up. If I lived here I would...

Double check your bill before you pay!!! They overcharged me about $16 on the sides order which should be included with the meal with no extra charges. When I asked for refund and he told me that I ordered 2 lbs of meal and side dishes separately. I did not order lbs of meat, only rib tips meal. I did not know how he got the idea I ordered the meat by lbs. I asked him to check with the chef who took my order to confirm. He refused to do it. Just told all the workers to shut up. Then he told me to leave the restaurant without resolving the issue. He threatened me to call policeman on me and there were camera in the store. I asked to check on the camera to see what did I order and he ignored me. I said please do so because I did not do anything wrong and he was the trouble maker with no customer services. Then I asked him for my receipts and he started to adjusted the bill without telling me. Once the policemen came, I told them what’s going on and I told him again I didn’t want the food and want the refund. He said no because I used the gift card. Then he closed out the register and told me that he couldn’t do anything on refunding the gift card value of $50, only credit card payment of $8 as his favor to me. Totally B.S. to me. I will file a complaint to his Corporate Office and sharing with my aweful experience on social media….all the cook/ staffs are great and friendly except this “so called” manager....

Went here with my brother today as we were on the mood for some bqq and after reading all the reviews, we decided to pull the trigger on this joint. We got the pulled pork sandwich, burntends sandwich, some brisket, and hush puppies. All of the food was actually pretty good for this being bbq in the north end of the country. The staff , however, was a joke. It seems like the owners fired all of the previous staff and hired the first people to apply for the job...and today was their first day to work. One of the cooks behind the counter doesn't speak English at all and he was the one taking all of the orders. It was very difficult to understand his accent and he seemed very out of it. He awkwardly stared at us as if we knew what the process of food ordering and receiving at this establishment. The other cashiers had no idea on how the POS system worked, they were asking everyone else how to enter in the sandwiches, how to enter in the hushpuppies...apparently they didn't even know that hushpuppies were served there. The whole situation was extremely awkward and very unorganized. At the very least, someone should be training all the staff haha. Otherwise, the vibe of the place is nice, the interior is pretty cool, and the food was good. I would recommend to try the place out but order ahead so you don't go through the...

Ordered the Family pack, which has a selection of 3 BBQed meats with a whole chicken (Brisket, Burnt Ends, Texas Sausage, Chicken), 4 sides (Mac & Cheese, Bacon-wrapped Brussel Sprouts, Cole Slaw, and Mashed Potatoes), a drink of either lemonade or iced tea, a sizeable load of cornbread buns and individually packaged BBQ sauce. I thought I would like this more but I can't pinpoint what was wrong with the food I had. Did they use liquid smoke and forget the mustard in their rub? Was it just plain salt? It was a rainy day so maybe the smoky flavor didn't infuse well enough with the meat. It's almost as though they were trying to dispose of material by the lack of main portions and largely bread & plastic/cardboard in its packaging. The tea was missing its sugar as well. Service that day felt like they didn't want to. Who could blame em? The brisket at first glance surprisingly looked dry but was tender. The chicken seemed the most tender of the bunch this time, and the texan sausage had a great bite but somehow had nothing to write home about. I'm wondering now if it was the sauce. It was pretty sweet and had a decent amount of acidic twang, but it was the only thing I had as an aftertaste. At least the burnt ends came out pretty well!
