I put 5 stars only so my post could be seen by others, but if I could but a negative number of stars as rating I wouldn’t hesitate to do it. I took both my parents to the emergency room because as hardheaded as they are they did not want to go but I took them anyway just to have the worst experience ever from this place. My mother had bad head ache bc of how weak she was from vomiting and diarrhea 2 days straight. We got to the room at around 6:30 pm on a Saturday and did not get seen by a nurse until 8:40 pm which was ridiculous knowing I kept calling through the nurse button letting them know my mother was in deep pain to the point she kept moaning and pleading for pain medicine and then her nausea got worse too. The male nurse that Saturday night came in 2 hours after only to say “what do you need?” , very rudely. I explained to him she was in pain and was dehydrated from all the vomiting and diarrhea she needed an IV started or something to stop her from being the way she was. He came in and said there was nothing he can do and that no orders for medicine have been ordered because no doctor had signed off on her to be treated( basically saying no doctor was on site to attend her) at this point I was getting mad because it was aggravating seeing your parent in pain and no body cared about her well-being. I told him what else can he do if he could talk to a different doctor from the different sections and he said all we can do is wait sorry with a smart remark. So then he left and MD Karen B Bentley did not show up to attend my mom until 9:50pm an hour after this male nurse seen her all this time they did not come back in her room to check on her. Doctor Karen comes in and rudely orders her to stand herself up to which my mom responded that she was weak and could not do it by herself. This person if you can call her that said , “ yes you can im going to check your lungs so you need to get up come on”. This lady did not want to touch my mom neither did she cared to help her get up and this is why I am doing this comment so others can help me report rude people like this. So after she got seen by this lady all she gave her for her severe pain was only Tylenol I mean are you kidding me Tylenol knowing that would not work for what she was feeling. She got her discharge papers and these people came in with a wheelchair and told her to sit there and that they were taking her out to the waiting area to wait for me to get the car. They did not even give her any privacy to change clothes or anything they took her out as is. VERY RUDE PEOPLE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! I was dealing with an acute crisis that was causing panic attacks and chest pains. I had a collapsed lung in the past and was told it could happen again. Thinking something was wrong with my heart and lung I went here. Before being seen I asked the doctor, Karen Bentley, how much this would cost me with my insurance and I was told $750 to have an xray, ekg, and lab work. I was charged five grand total with me being responsible for three grand. I would lay out in the road and die before I go into a hospital and pay that much. I'm also being charged twice for two of the procedures from two totally different companies. One being charged for er room visits twice by the hospital and Ms. Karen who charged me one grand on top of the 3 grand just to be seen there. So just her charge was $300 more than what she quoted me! This all led my research to the new no surprise act that had to be enacted to stop hospitals from misleading patients into paying exorbitant amounts and charging multiple times for one procedure. They even go as far as to mislabeling patient or clinician names to get away with their disgusting robbery of sick people in need. Even using out of network providers when in network is available. This American health care system is an absolute mockery and slap in the the face to the citizens of this country. The government raises the price of college, raise the price of health care just to tax us five times on one transaction and profit off of the bare basic needs of its people. People are laying in their homes dying right now because they can't afford to stay alive! Life and health is something only the rich and powerful can afford now? The government chooses to poison and taint our food, causing obesity and cancer to run rampant, just to profit off of our sickness and they use the Healthcare system to do so. You think your doctor has your best interest at heart? Your doctor hopes you'll get sick and die soon so they can make more money off of you! How many times have you heard your doctor give the worst case scenario? It's called medical pessimism, they want you to think the worst because their words and your thoughts have power and you'll be more likely to have the worst outcome. Healthcare system? More like death care system. There is no healing here, just prolonged suffering. Thousands of unstudied chemical mixtures doctors tell us will help but are only making you worse! Best experience I've EVER had with a Doctor!!! Including at an ER! Dr Arthur Henderson saved MY life!!! SERIOUSLY.... He's an ER DR, IF only he could be MY everything Doctor... He's THAT GREAT! Everyone working during my stay was incredible. From the front desk kindness, to the beauty who placed the EKG stickers, all the way to the vampires (blood takers), to the nurses. Everyone was kind and caring. I've been to emergency departments more than I would care to admit, and honestly, I RARELY get a DECENT experience... I've never had a GREAT experience, until this time. I felt like I genuinely mattered to them and they actually WANTED TO HELP ME! This time, I wasn't the typical Atrium Cash Cow, that Atrium created. This time, I was a human being, with thoughts and feelings, with needs and desires!!!... FINALLY...... I WAS TREATED WITH RESPECT. Did you get that word, treated??? What about respect? That's something that doesn't happen when you're an Atrium Cash Cow, like me! You get ignored, they make you feel like you're not worthy and you ARE a liar, (that's what they do when you have human parasites and NO ONE knows anything about ANY of the humans parasites, much less their symptoms. Yes, I've been and called EVERYWHERE!!! You try....) and NOT a single Dr was willing to learn. I mean, NO ONE!!!) I was sent from Dr to Dr, to Dr and more doctors, without being LISTENED to, nor do any of them care. I've been through so many Doctors, of all sorts, over the last 14 months. My life has literally been hell. A Complete, and horribly, painful HELL.
