Went in on Saturday for a good breakfast, and since Cuban food is so similar to Puerto Rican cuisine 🇨🇺🇵🇷, I was excited to dig in! Sam was our server and she was amazing — super attentive and made sure I got my order in just before breakfast ended 🙌.
To start, I had a cortadito ☕ and a ham & cheese croqueta 🧀🥓 — both were the perfect warm-up for my taste buds. For my main, I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich 🥪 with pepper jack cheese and asked if the ham could be warmed up. Sam made sure it came out just right!
Hubby had a glass of fresh orange juice 🍊 and two rellenos de papa (potato balls) 🥔 — and let me tell you, those were 🔥!
The food was soooo good — seriously, the eggs were perfectly fluffy, even inside the sandwich 😋. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water! 🤤
Later, I ordered a café bonbón ☕ but asked for the espresso to not be sweetened — and it hit the spot perfectly. Smooth, rich, and bold 💯.
The only tiny hiccup was the whipped cream on the tres leches cake 🍰 — it had a bit of a chemical taste, which was a little off. But the cake itself was still solid!
I really loved the palm trees 🌴 and decor, which gave the place such a laid-back, tropical vibe. My only suggestion would be to maybe brighten it up just a bit — it felt a little dark inside, so a touch more lighting or a fresh color palette could really enhance the atmosphere.
Sam also told us about the fun events and live bands 🎶 they host — I definitely want to come back and...
Read moreSo I've been going to Miami fusion ever since. They open at least two to three times a month so I usually get the Cuban chop chop this time. I decide that for extra meat but instead of extra pork it, I wanted Chicken they said they couldn't do that. They can only give me double pork or I'd had to get the chicken chop chop and get double chicken. So I said okay just give me the double pork they charge me $7.50 for extra meat but my homeboy went today and bought me a Chicken chop chop salad and got extra meat and they only charged him $250 as much money as I spend there. I need to know why I got charged $750 and he got charged 250 I saved the receipt that I got today for proof. I'm really pissed off because for a salad with extra meat and three ham Croquettes that came up to $32 hell for all that I can go to casa Azul and get a dish with chicken shrimp and steak for less than that and it be a whole meal and for $17 that chicken chop chop is not worth it. Not the one I had today with some old ass rice and flavorless chicken dry chicken but I guess that's why I don't try new stuff and I stick to it. I know I've never had a problem with the Cuban chop chop but to spend the money that I've spent in there. I was highly disappointed today. Highly highly disappointed and that's sad to say because I rant and raved about Miami fusion when I first...
Read moreReal review here. The place is called Miami Fusion. I was born and raised in south Miami. "Go Knights". Driving thru from Shelby, gave it a shot. Ordered the Ropa Vieja & a couple papa's rellenas. This place was on point. Papa's were same as in Miami. The true test was, they were selling cuban pastries. Pshhh. No one outside of miami can make a guava pastry that passes my approval. Wrong.. tasted like I was on Sunset drive & 152st SW miami at the Sedanos bakery. The pastries are SUPER MIAMI AUTHENTIC. I mean perfection, yes it was made earlier in the day and I know what that tastes like too, but, they nailed it. Whoever made them definetly worked in a Cuban bakery in miami. Only one downside to this review, only 1 star to this next comment, it's that they are not located in Shelby NC. Lincolnton is a 30-40min drive for me, so I dont know when I'll be back. I'd love for them to open up their 4th Location in Shelby, My kids and I will be their biggest fans, I will promote to all my customers on the daily. Cmon Miami Fusion, aranka para Shelby. Really, cmon, I promise u will do well here. Acere,...
