Service, Cleanliness The girls that work the counter are so friendly, and the guys in the back hustle! The service is top notch in my opinion. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms. I feel this place exceeds cleanliness standards.
The food I love wings so when I saw that you can order them ah la carte for .95 each I jumped right into a 10 wing order. They are advertised as smoked wings, though when I ordered them I heard someone say "drop" 10 wings. That makes me think they drop them in the deep fryer. They did have a smoked flavor to them so they may "drop" them to heat them up? I also ordered a side of baked beans and Coleslaw. It's hard to find a place where the sides are really home made. The beans did taste a lot like your average can purchased Bush's but we're still fine. The Coleslaw was very good and did taste home made. It was not soupy with mayo like most pre made coleslaw is. It to me has a slight apple cider vinegar taste and was very good.
The sauce I was offered both the vinegar based sauce and with added jalapenos. I can honestly say I haven't had sauce this good since I left Texas. Both sauces were watery but had excellent 👌 flavor!
What I would like to see... I'd like to see the beans a bit thicker, maybe with some beef or pork in them and maybe some offered with those jalapenos added for some kick. I paid almost 5$ for just the 2 sides which I didn't mind but I do feel the coleslaw should have been the same size as the beans. It was offered in a cup about as small as the BBQ sauce.
There was no reason to deduct from the 5 ⭐. I feel they earned it. I don't deduct stars because of wanted them to change something. This is personal preference and advice.
Keep up the excellent...
Read moreThis review is actually more about an incident that appeared to be something that happens but because a customer spoke it up it was addressed. I watched as a customer brought a dog in, staff is tlkn to this customer, the dog is on a leash but the man is letting the dog just walk freely. I'm shooing the dog the dog is shaking near customers who are eating. The customer with dog proceeds toward a customer who is saying, I can't eat my food your dog is shaking itself all over my food". The customer with the dog is smiling allowing the dog to get closer to the customer eating. The customer eating stands up backs up takes their food to the counter and asks for a manager. Customer wants a refund but is given another meal. However the issue of the customer with the dog is not addressed until after the customer gets their order replaced. It was obvious that the dog has been in there before for a stroll in the dining room and because someone spoke up it had to be addressed. I feel like the customer should have gotten the meal replaced and for free. Staff obviously knew about this issue. The dog was not a service dog and Respectfully for Service dogs they are kept clean and do not act like they are in a park in a business. And as small as it is at the register area there was no room to get away from the dog the owner of the dog was rude to...
Read moreMe and my party went to this restaurant because from the Google pictures it looked like great food at a great price, however, after ordering and sitting down, we realized it was somewhat mediocre food, at a barely acceptable price. We ordered their hot dog and chicken sandwich, which were more expensive than their prices shown online, and the food felt very cheap, as if they ordered the lowest quality ingredients to cut corners and costs of business, which is acceptable, but when you pay $3.50 for a hot dog, you expect something a bit better than what they have here. The chicken sandwich was $7, which is also somewhat outrageous for what it is, which was a standard, unseasoned chicken patty with plenty of lettuce and a tomato slice. We also ordered a side of onion rings, which also seemed unseasoned, and were unappetizingly soggy before we even took our first bite, likely as they were kept under a heat lamp long term instead of being made fresh to order. I do not look forward to writing bad reviews, and I apologize to any I might offend...
