Cancel means cancel. On 7/31/2016 I sent an e-mail canceling my membership and stating that going forward the Spa was not authorized to charge my credit card any more fees , and I received a confirmation back from the manager that my membership was canceled. So how does it happen that in January and February 2017, my credit card was charged $50.00 each month. Doesn't cancel mean cancel? I guess not at serendipity wellness spa in Linden. I was told today by the manager that the policy back then was to only place the account on a hold for 6 months. I didn't ask for a hold, I ASKED FOR IT TO BE CANCELED. I was told by the manager today at 830 am that she would contact my credit card company and make sure the charges were refunded today. That never happened, because this evening I contacted my credit card company and they stated they have not received anything from the Spa or talked to anyone. So now I am dealing with the credit card company directly. The manager called and is asking for me to provide the phone number to the credit card. Pretty sure all she has to do it google the phone number, since they have my card information. Also anytime I needed any type of service at the spa, and called to book something they never had anything available, I physically had to go in and speak to the person or persons who I would like to see to get an appointment. The girls at the front desk ignore anyone who comes into the spa, and most of the time you have to wait for one of the front desk girls to be at the desk. The front desk girls really need some customer relation training. The front desk all look like a bunch of young girls not wanting to be there. This Spa sure has gone down hill over the past 9 months. I asked to have the owner call me, the manager left me a voice mail stating the the owner is busy doing a remodel.

Read moreUpdate: A week later, I never received a phone call from the manager as promised in the response below. It appears that the concern and immediate action promised was only to present a concerned front for people reading online reviews and not a genuine concern for the customer, which is disappointing.
I booked an appt for a massage online, received a call first thing the next morning to confirm. Ashley confirmed that she had read in the notes on my appt request that I have a cast on my left leg. I made it a point to let her know I was on crutches. When I arrived for my appt, two girls at the front desk sat and watched as I tried to open the door myself and struggle clutching my way to the front counter. The receptionist made me stand there on crutches while she answered the phone and did not offer me a seat or direct me in any way. I crutched to the waiting room. My massage therapist came to greet me, and then mentioned that the massage room was upstairs. There were 2 other people that I spoke to before this woman that knew of my handicap and failed to mention this. I told the therapist I could not physically get up a flight of steps. Let alone down them again. The whole point of this massage was to have a relaxing experience but instead it created a stressful and disappointing evening. I have had 3-4 other experiences here that were average to above average, but they were pedicures. This was my first appt for a massage. I hope that the staff can learn from this occurrence to be more mindful of accommodating people with handicaps and mentioning ahead of time anything that may prevent them from giving the customer a...
Read moreI’ve had a wonderful experience with this salon before, but this most recent appointment was not a great experience. I originally booked the appointment to have my dark roots bleached back to blonde. The lady doing my hair didn’t bleach and only did highlights. Unfortunately, I had to come back a few days later because I noticed that my hair was 2-3 inches longer on one side. Then in my second appointment to have my hair evened out, when I brought up my roots werent bleached/highlighted like I had originally asked and that only the top layer of my hair had been highlighted in the first appointment, the lady doing my hair said that she’ll remember that for next time. Very disappointed as now I have to have my hair redyed for the same price somewhere else.
UPDATE: The owner reached out to me and offered to fix this for free and even offered to throw in a pedicure while I waited. I'm super happy with how they fixed this issue and will be returning to the lady who recently did my hair! She was very professional and knew exactly how I wanted my hair done. Very pleased with how this all ended and I will be a...
