Village Ace Hardware — Local services in Linden

People here are great! Don't get me wrong they are very helpful finding me that $10 screw I could get at home depot a few miles down the road for .03 cents. Convience right? Well when you have bankers hours and close before the sun even goes down it makes it tough to come here. I am going on 4 days in a row where I have now missed this place after coming straight from work to get daddy daughtet dance tickets... this place doesn't open until everyone ate their breakfast and sloped the hogs, and they certainly aren't going to be late for dinner which I think is why they close so early. Come on Ace get better hours this is pathetic. You may have "tried" different hours, but at this point it's going to take sometime for others to understand you have longer hours for it to work, BUT it'll work. I'm giving this review 1 star because the workers there have been nothing but helpful, but when I recently went in there was an older man I believe they said is name was Clyde, he seems to be the manager and he was being extremely rude with the employees who were doing nothing wrong from what i understood. Especially in front of us customers it was unprofessional and I'm sure extremely embarrassing for the employees. I've never had an issue with finding exactly what I need going into this store and the employees have always greeted me with a smile and offered help, it's a shame the person in charge seems to treat them so poorly in front...

Great place to get your propane tanks refilled. I usually just paid a flat fee at a local refill place but when that went to $20 I decided to shop around. That wasn't the places that exchange, they filled my tank to a certain weight. This place charges for just the amount of gas they put in your tank!! When paying I commented on the fact that I had never just payed for the gas, always a flat fee. The cashier lady said it was against the law to charge a flat fee and they always charge just for the amount needed to fill. Needless to say I will be taking all my propane tanks to Village Ace...
