First time I've been to the drive-in in like 40 years. When was my son and his family to see the new Avengers movie. I thought we were going to the one in Belleville but we went to the one in Litchfield. Man that was a drive but it was worth it because we had a good time.
If you plan on going check Groupon, because we got our tickets for half price which was really good. It included two adults plus two children are free, plus free large popcorn so it was pretty good. So I advise everyone to check Groupon. I always check there before going out anywhere because you can get pretty good deals there.
Couldn't believe there was no playground up front for the kids to play on that was new to me. I thought all drive-ins had playgrounds for the kids to play in. Well I guess things do change as time goes on.
Another weird thing there are no speakers anymore you have to listen to it through your car radio. I wonder how you would go to the drive-in if you didn't have a radio in your car.
It's nice for a family to go out for the evening. You know pop a big bag of popcorn, get you some drinks, put them in a cooler, grab some snacks, get you some blankets to lay on the ground or on the hood or on the back of the truck bed, and just sit back watch a movie and have a good time as a family all together couldn't ask for anything better.

Read moreWonderful experience, super friendly staff! They had a technical issue but it honestly wasn't that bad and they apologized and made up for it with passes to see a different show another day which was very sweet and honestly they didn't have to do it! The issue wasn't that bad as far as I was concerned but I'm not.picky! They still insisted which was so very kind , the food was great, we went on a not so busy day, but they should be packed every weekend seriously if your thinking of seeing a movie why not enjoy a unique experience ! Ticket pricing is amazing and food stand isn't bad either! (A few items may be over priced but others aren't so your are free to choose what you spend your money on) definitely worth it so much fun ,...
Read moreHistoric Drive-In movie venue on old Route 66. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The screen (picture) quality and sound quality are excellent. The snack bar is well stocked with a wide variety of refreshments, including tater tots and Pepsi products. The staff is outgoing and friendly. The ambience of the facility and surrounding area only enhances the movie going experience. In the distance above the large screen, small planes can be seen leaving and arriving at the airport. Corn fields are visible from the front as well. To the right, large agricultural structures. From the back, the occasional train horn sounds as locomotives pass by. Very enjoyable place to catch a movie on a warm...
