The venue itself, is great. The customer service on the other hand was awful. They promised things and didn't provide. I couldn't wait til my wedding day was over just so I didn't have to deal with them again. Poor, poor poor service. I was trying to keep short but considering all the response you gave means I will share alittle more. I definitely didn't want anything for FREE, I wanted what you said was INCLUDED with the price YOU Gave me. I asked you twice to make sure I heard you correctly in front of 2 different people of what I would receive. 10 tables to seat 100 people. I received 8 with 10 people to the table which equals 80 people. You wanted me to pay for the additional tables n chairs the day before the wedding. I agreed only because I was sick of your broken promises to just be done with it, upon coming to pay, your price changed from $55 to $275. Really. I also was told Glass Ware n China was apart of my package. Only to find out only if I used your caterer weeks after signing. I said ok. Now it's time for rehearsal. You wanted us to have it by 4 pm a week in a half before the wedding. Who does that.. You called me a bridezilla because I said that doesn't work for me. So you sent in your assistant to come to rehearsal the Wednesday before who also informed me we should of received 8 hrs to begin with. She didn't understand why we only had 6 hrs and not 8. Which you were going to charge me an additional $175 for. Wow...for something I should of received in the first place. I could go on but it's over. Read moreOverall the location is nice. However, my rating is based on some expectations that were not met. Also it has been more than 30 days and I have yet to receive my security deposit. I was told by the event coordinator via email that I would receive my deposit and any other monies owed to me within 20 days after my event. When I asked after the 20 days for my money, I was sent an email stating that I wouldn’t receive it until after they inspected the space and after 30 business days. They sent me a highlighted verbiage from a random contract, that wasn’t part of the contract my husband and I signed. I’ve asked for them to point out the 30 days refund policy since mid-November in my signed contract, but I haven’t heard back from anyone. This is very ridiculous and unprofessional, and I’m very upset. They were always so quick when making sure we paid them, but when they need to refund me, no one is communicating with me, as if they can care less.
Update: the response from the owner below is not the truth. I was not made aware of the certified package. The package was never sent to me, rather it was sent to a CVS store, and left for me to pick up. Occasions on Main failed to make me aware of the package that needed to be picked up. Read moreMaxine is extremely rude and unprofessional. When visiting the venue , my fiancé mistakenly knocked over a picture frame that was hung by a thumbtack. Although , it was an inconvenience for her (at her own fault) , she asked us to reschedule for another date and never contacted us again . Someone on her team liked several pictures on my IG which made me want to follow-up after the incident . What was I met with? Additional finger pointing at us and no resolution . I’ll be taking my business elsewhere where people appreciate me and don’t blame clients for their own shortcomings. Ridiculous. I’m sure she will mention we were late in the reply to this review ... why? We traveled from Macon to visit to be turned around! SMH. Worst experience ever .
Update: Ms. Brown, we apologized to Maxine profusely . We offered to go buy new frames, so she wouldn’t have leave, pay for them, whatever we had to do. Maxine honest to God had the frames hanging by a thumbtack for someone to run into. I am an esteemed member of my community . I would NEVER leave a review that wasn’t 100% truthful to my experience.
