Lithonia Park — Attraction in Lithonia

I went to an event called Rosé and Roses at Lithonia Park. This place is huge and I didn't even get to see the rest of the park. There were other events going on but it's so much space you didn't energy notice. The atmosphere is really nice, and the weather was great. It was a little hot at first but as the evening set in, it cooled off some. This event was a great experience meeting alot of new people. It was very organized and all the cars were lined up in the grass with plenty of room to drive off as needed. Plenty of space for all the tents and other props to be set up. ...

Maybe I should rate Lithonia Park lower so less people will go...

I literally stumbled into this Big well appointed park by accident. I was just driving around, saw a sign the said "Lithonia Amphitheater" & said 'whaaaat?!' A few blocks off the main road was the entrance to this huge park ( did I say it was big?) It has a Pool! Several nice picnic shelters, playground, hoops court, cricket field, baseball fields... Just not a good park in my opinion, back in the woods kind of. Basketball ball court is in a bad area because the ball can easily roll down the hill. The playground sits at the bottom of the hill near the basketball court and a gazeebo, no walkway from parking to the playground. The playground has two slides that the kids have to climbed ropes vertically to acess. This is definitely not ideal for small kids. The little spinning wheel was okay my 3 year old liked it. But otherwise we won't...
