I feel it’s important to share my recent experience at Nashoba Garage. Initially, I received an estimate of $600 for a front brake job on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which seemed reasonable at the time. However, after the work began, I was informed that additional parts were necessary, and the price increased to $830. While I was willing to accept this adjustment, I was shocked to discover a final charge of $925 when I returned to pick up my vehicle a few hours later.
Upon reviewing the charges, I found it concerning that the cost of the parts for this brake job is typically less than $300. The labor rate indicated on my receipt was $145 per hour, yet it appeared that I was being charged at an inflated rate $600 per hour!. Moreover, the claim that the job would require two hours seemed questionable given the circumstances.
When I voiced my concerns about the unexpected charges, the individual closing the store was unprofessional and dismissive. He stated that he didn’t care about my feedback or the potential negative review, citing their 30 years in business as justification. This attitude reflected poorly on their customer service.
I left the shop feeling dissatisfied, especially after being informed that the best they could do was a $35 reduction on the bill. I also noted that both times I visited, the shop was not busy, which raises questions about their operations.
Upon picking it up, I noticed a rattling noise coming from the front driver-side tire, which was not present prior to my visit to them. I’m unsure of its origin and am concerned about the potential implications for my vehicle's performance and safety.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Nashoba Garage. If you choose to do business with them, I strongly advise obtaining all charges in writing beforehand to avoid unexpected fees. It would be wise to seek out a more professional and...
Read moreMy family and I have been taking our various vehicles over the last several years (since 2006). From Isuzu Rodeos to a Ford Explorer to Subaru Foresters to a Volvo S80 to a Toyota Corolla to a Buick Rendezvous to a Toyota Tacoma, Jim & Chris @ Nashoba Garage (off of Rte 110/2A, almost directly across of the Littleton Town Offices) have been impeccable with the quality of their auto repair services. Far cheaper than taking your vehicle to a car dealership, Nashoba Garage will always treat you and your vehicles with the utmost respect & dignity. No frills, no up-selling services. They will even go out of their way to cut costs if at all possible. They will not recommend a service if it isn't direly needed. They take all major credit cards, cash (and I think checks). Their service is efficient, and if it's going to take them longer to service your vehicle than anticipated, there will be no bullshit, they will tell you outright. One last thing, if you choose to wait for your vehicle to be serviced, right next door is Littleton Café! Great food with sizable portions, always hot coffee at the ready, wait staff and cooks are very friendly and helpful. Just keep in mind that Littleton Café closes promptly at 1 pm every day. But they are open at 7 am along with Nashoba Garage! So be ready to be wowed by both Nashoba Garage and...
Read moreSo about a month ago, took my car here to have the strut fixed, brakes, oil change. Well the brake rotors were done, and the oil change. He said he couldn't get the parts for my other work. Told to come back Friday. Brought the car back, and he still didn't have the parts. Said it would be the following week. I was then told, he'd get the parts off eBay. Huge red flag went up. I wouldn't let my surgeon, or doctor order instruments from eBay, why a mechanic. There was a dealership down the street from him, he could have ordered parts from. Needless to say, I went somewhere else after excuses, and being blown off. Since then, I lost my brakes having a rear end collision, and totaling my car. As I've looked at my invoice compared between both shops, this shop never took a home address, my cars vin #, license plate number, and other pertinent information that should have been entered. I chose Sullivan Tire in Nashua. They said, they never order parts from eBay. They were appalled. They were also able to get my parts in a day, from the dealership. They provided me with a Lyft to return to the shop, and covered my rental because my car wouldn't be done until the next day. So really do your research, and don't go with the cheapest. I'm now out a car, and serious distrust of any small shop due to...
