I'm not sure where to go from here but seeing this place already had a 2.8 rating, I doubt anyone cares. My insurance is actually through CVS but I recently had a 10 hour dental surgery (with bone grafts, 11 implants and many stitches) and was prescribed Tylenol 3. My pharmacy said they no longer carry Tylenol 3 and referred me to Walgreens across the street from them. I am diabetic and have an auto immune disease so I am healing a bit on the slow side. My dentist is only allowed to prescribe 10 pills at a time. These pills are for every 8 hours. I took them spaced apart as much as possible and I was alternating with Motrin 800. After the 2nd prescription of 10 pills, I was trying to manage with Motrin 800 alone but I also was grinding my teeth in my sleep so the pain in the morning was difficult to work through, plus I already take Nexium twice per day and was concerned about my stomach with all the Motrin. At my next appt I talked to my dentist about it and he gave me another prescription for 10 pills of Tylenol 3. I then bought a self mold mouth guard at my dentist's instruction. I then called for one more 10 pill prescription. My dentist said he can't write anymore because it'll flag his license. I think that's crazy that 40 pills of Tylenol 3 over a span of 5 weeks would flag a license. It's fine though because after I got the prescription, it finally stopped hurting so much so I haven't even had to take any of the final prescription yet. All that being said, the pharmacist the last time I went to pick up my meds was awful. My wife went in to just drop it off and find out how long it would be until pickup. I stayed in the car. She came back without anything. She said the pharmacist was rude. She said, "I already told her last time that there needs to be an antibiotic with this!" My wife started explaining that our regular pharmacy didn't have the med so we just needed that one filled and she started yelling that the other pharmacy is lying to us and that they have the med but don't want it to count against their license. She then told my wife that she had to call and verify it with the dentist and my wife said fine. Then she said she was too busy to do it right now so my wife came out to the car to tell me. At this point it's 1:10pm on Friday and my dentist office closes for the weekend at 2pm. I decided to go in myself because if she waited too long, she would be unable to verify anything until Monday. I walked in and she was on the phone with my dentist office telling them that I should also have an antibiotic with my pain meds. I'm sure they were not pleased with her for thinking she knows better than my actual dentist and it sounded like they were arguing with her. She gets off the phone with my dentist and I ask her what the issue is. She then tells me that my pharmacy lied to me. I told her that it doesn't matter to me whether they're lying or not because I have to take what they say at face value regardless. She then tells me that I have to change all of my meds over to Walgreens. I tell her I'm not doing that and that my coverage is actually CVS insurance. She said, "Oh, you're not going to do that? Then this is the last time you can fill this prescription here." I told the woman it's absurd that she would treat anyone like this for a prescription of 10 fairly mild pain pills. I was so upset that I forgot to even address the fact that she was telling my wife that she "told me last time" when I had never seen that woman before in my life. I don't know who she thought I was but I had been there 3 other times ever and apparently she didn't work there any of those days. I thought about calling the manager but I doubt anything will be done and I don't need to go there...
Read moreDefinitely do not go there for photos. Had a very weird experience. Went there for a passport photograph and the employees were arguing with each other who will do the photos. One of the girls telling other associate that she just cleaned trash outside so she wouldn't do it. Finally she agreed yet unwillingly did the photos. One set of photos came out correct but others did not. I told her and she became very offensive and repeatedly stating "I know what I am doing and it's not my fault that photo is not correct". After a while and hearing frustration, another associate agreed to help. He was very nice and helpful however in the final photo shadow on the wall was visible. He asked me to come back the next day. I went and another guy helped but their camera stopped working. He mentioned that the camera is probably 10 years old. So he tried to fix my photo digitally by air brushing the shadow. Print copy came out fine but he forgot to update the digital copy. So I am $23 in and don't have the correct passport photos despite going there twice and facing super unfriendly employee. Not sure what the work culture is there but definitely not going back and would not recommend anybody to go...
Read moreI love this store, especially the pharmacy department...they know me by name & always treat me with respect & I treat them with respect! I have read some of the bad reviews, & it’s not fair...especially since all this covid testing!! I did tell them that I think it was a big mistake by doing the tests, ect thru the drivethru...it does take longer in the car, but they can’t help it if 3-5 cars come all at once for their test or shot... They are overworked & short of staff here lately, but please remember all the other prescriptions that they’re filling for people not even in the store...I promise you if you treat them with respect, they’ll treat you with respect!! I think the worst thing that’s happened to the store is that they drove the Kevin the manager off to pursue other options....he was a really good manager & I miss him already!! The best cashier in the whole store is John!!! He is such a sweetheart & I try to go in on the days that he’s working...I hope they don’t run...
