Tuxedos of Lodi — Local services in Lodi

My review is based on a purchase and not a rental.

I went Tuxedos of Lodi because I am in the market for a suit, but I literally did not know a damn thing about suits. I decide to go to my local business first versus going to a big department store with sales people on commission. I walk in and Jazz is there and instantly greets me and asks how he can help and what I am in the market for. I tell him I need a suit but don't know a thing. Jazz then, for the next hour, teaches me how to "read" suits and what the different cuts mean in relation to the person wearing the suit. The crazy part is, Jazz spent an hour with me talking about suits and I never once said I was looking to buy. It wasn't until the end of our conversation when I told him I was looking to buy. Once I told Jazz I wanted to buy, he pulls out several different suit styles. He has me try on several (I lost count). Funny thing is, it was the first one that Jazz showed me, turned out to be the one I bought. I still think it's amazing that he was able to read my body shape, skin tone, and eye color to make the whole suit come together. I tried to challenge him on this, which is why I tried on a lot of different cuts and styles. Only to settle on the original suit Jazz was recommending to me.

I have worn the suit to several occasions since I purchased the suit a few weeks ago. Every event I attend I get compliments and have had literally the best suit at the event. The affordable suit Jazz sold me has put to shame a grooms suit at a wedding, and the suits people wore to interview me during a panel interview for a job (TWICE).

I will be back to purchase other suits from this honest and ethical businessman who knows...

This review is a year late, but better late than never.

Long story short: go with Jaz and his business if you want outstanding customer service, someone who will do his absolute best to make you look incredible, and if you want to hear a few funny stories along the way.

I got married last year and I chose Jaz and Tuxedos of Lodi to help me with suits for myself, my groomsmen, and my father. And help he sure as hell did. First off, he is a great dude. He was very easy to talk to with a very professional but relaxed demeaner. Loved hearing the silly stories about his kids. He knows his suits and really helped me and my groomsmen with picking out what worked with our sizes, color scheme, and even the kind of summer temperatures we were to expect. He's quite talented in his craft.

But what really did it for me and why I believe he deserves a 5/5 star rating was how much effort he put into helping me out. He seems to really care about his customers and checked in with me on everything. He even went above and beyond and found a tie online that he felt might work great with my suit and wife's wedding dress. He bought that tie with his own money and you bet I went with it. It matched my wife's wedding dress beautifully.

He also sent me home with an extra pair of slimmer pants that he thought might work better than the pants we agreed on. Just in case. He didn't have to go out of his way to order an extra pair of pants for me like that. But he did. Because he is amazing.

Give this man and his family...

A bit disappointed that this places charges for measurements. My wedding is an hour away from my family so I had those members get measured at a more local tuxedo place (tuxedo of Lodi) so they wouldn’t have to travel so far for a measurement. My fiancé and I went around to several tuxedo places and they always said it’s free for measurements. When I called other stores in other states, for my out of state folk, they also said it’s a free service to be measured. I supplied the paper and the suits were already picked out with my retailer but just needed basic measurements to send to my store. But this is the only place that charges. I felt so bad because I found out AFTER the fact and my fiancé and I are paying for all attire for the wedding party and I never would have sent so many people there had I’d known they’d be charged when everywhere else is free. They also charged different prices for different people. My step dad and brother were charged $10 each but my dad was charged $15….absurd

Their measurements were 2inches off the actual measurement that despite paying, two times my family had to get remeasured at another place who did it for free and more accurately. They also don’t do all the measurements required by my retailer (I provided the exact paper but over half was left blank). You really shouldn’t charge for inadequate work. Even the other stores...
