Come with me to Lodi, a small town 1.5h drive from South Bay, with fun activities and food! First, we started the day @mimosasgourmet.lodi , the OG super mimosa spot, with huge towers of mimosas, great for sharing. We got their regular sized mango peach mimosa and amazing brunch options- fried chicken benedict and California omelette. So yummy! Second, we went to @wowscimuseum , which was really hands-on and interactive, perfect for all ages. There were so many exhibits that encourage learning while having fun! Third, we went for wine tasting at one of Lodi’s amazing wineries @spenkerwinery and tried the red and white wines flights pairing with cheese. They also make fresh goat cheese and ice cream. It was a relaxing afternoon trying out the various wines and cheeses and playing with the farm goats 😊 Fourth, we had to visit @awlodi as the original birthplace of A&W root beer! Check out lots of cool memorabilia on the walls and buy a souvenir or two. Lastly, we wrapped up our day with dinner @lodibeerco with lots of craft beers. We had the cheese loaf, baby back ribs and jambalaya, which was such a hearty meal and a great end to the day! Thank you @visitlodi for this fun itinerary and we had a great time exploring Lodi. Do make the trip out to Lodi and try something new and fun! #visitlodi #lodi #lodicalifornia #lodica #mimosasgourmet #bottomlessmimosas #mimosasunday #sciencemuseum #worldofwonder #awrootbeer #rootbeer #rootbeerfloat #winerylovers #wineloversšŸ· #wineandcheese #goatfarm #craftbeers #bayareafoodie #sanjosefoodie #eastbayeats #thingstodoincalifornia

This is a solid 4.5/5 stars but I'd rather mark them a 5 than a 4. Came here today with friends for a little day trip to Lodi. I've heard great things about this place so I've had it saved on my map for a long while. Friends were very excited to have mimosas. We got there and the host stand was empty so we were a little confused. The inside of the restaurant was so dark it took a second for my eyes to adjust. As we stood there, an employee assured us a hostess would be with us shortly so we walked back outside to the host stand. The hostess asked us where we'd like to sit, inside or outside, so we decided to sit outside. She let us know very quickly that menu was the be scanned via qr code (ugh) on the table. Apparently I was the only who heard her though so it took a second for friends to realize this. Waited was there fairly quick to take our drink order before we had had a chance to take a look at the menu but he brought waters for us while we looked. When we finally ordered, I stayed with just the water and ordered the bananas foster French Toast combo with scrambled eggs and EXTRA crispy bacon. Friend 1 got Pomegranate Mimosa and Nutella French Toast (see photos). Friend 2 got Mango Mimosa (see photo) and some type of eggs benedict. We were amused that the Mimosa glasses appeared to be glass ice cream dishes since they usually come in champagne flutes. The Nutella French Toast looked really good and Friend 1 had no complaints. She finished her Mimosa but took about half of her plate home. Friend 2 finished both drink and dish. I started with my eggs that looked a little weird but tasted fine. My bacon was not extra crispy and one could argue barely crispy. I was shocked buy the size of the French Toast. My only complaint about the dish was the bananas. They looked as though they had been sitting sliced for a long while as the inside had turned fairly black by the time I had received them (see photo). The French Toast was delicious though and I finished it all. The entire time we were there it was so noisy inside. The music was good but it was so much noise from all angles. Definitely tough for me with auditory issues. I might come back if someone else was paying. It was all priced a little high. Like amount of food was good but why is a glass of juice $5 with no refills? Why is 2 pancakes by themselves $10? Nice place over all with delicious food and great service.

Sunday brunch with hubby. Or first visit. 1030ish am with no wait time for 2. Larger parties I noticed longer wait times. The restraunt is not that big, but there's Indoor and Outdoor seating. Check-in was easy and staff was welcoming and friendly. Street and public parking lot available. Downtown Lodi area next to theatre. Lots of character in the area. Menus highlight their most popular choices. I ordered the popular protein apple chicken sausage skillet with fruit and hubby ordered the popular country fried steak with homemade biscuit and gravy. Food when received was a bit on the cold side. Skillet was yet delicious and fresh sweet fruit. Hubby didn't like his meal. Biscuit on the dry side and tasted unsalted. Steak wasn't as flavorful as expected. He added more salt and pepper. I also ordered their Irish coffee which was very tasty. They do offer monster shareable mimosas. Lots of different flavors available. Although In my opinion with covid-19, there shouldn't be sharing. The waiter was awesome and kind and attentive. I had a hundred questions and he was patient and kind to answer and made great suggestions. Thank you Mimosas Gourmet for a good first experience. Would visit again to try mimosas. 😊

I went to try this Lodi location for the first time today. I’ve been to the Stockton location many times and I ALWAYS order the same things. Either the fried chicken Benedict or the chorizo Benedict. I noticed that it says that it is served with an English muffin on the menu but I never noticed it because the multiple times I have been to the Stockton location, it has always been served to me with a biscuit. I noticed it on the menu so I understood that there was a muffin there but I’m just used to being served a biscuit. I mentioned this to the owner and she got aggressive and pretty much called me a liar. I’m always able to share a plate with my boyfriend, because the servings are so generous and BISCUIT usually filled me up quick. This time however the serving was so small, I completely cleared my plate and was still hungry. And even then I understood that we are all in a crisis and maybe they’re trying to stretch out what they have. I wouldn’t have been upset at the muffin because I actually noticed it on the menu. But the behavior from the owner was quite disturbing and I won’t be returning to this location anymore. Customer service comes before anything and I was upset that it wasn’t even a waitress that spoke to us like that. It was the owner. 5 stars for our waitress. She was awesome and maybe the owner should stay in the back and try not to approach the guests because she has horrible customer service.

EDIT: lmao. Look at the...

Today was a gorgeous day and wonderful atmosphere to sit outside. The music may turn some off, with loud techno covers, but I didn’t mind it. I would not recommend sitting inside, it is a very dark and a bit drab. I ordered the traditional eggs benedict, and it arrived in about 10 minutes. I requested that my potatoes be crispy, even describing ā€œburnt" as being ok. When my breakfast arrived, I seen that my potatoes looked the same as other patrons. I told the waitress that I was hoping for crispy. She kindly said, ā€œI’ll take it back and fix it.ā€ She left and I cut into my benedict, finding that it was cooked all the way through. I waited for the waitress to return. She came back with my potatoes, they were cooked in the same exact way as before. I informed her of the eggs being overdone and she took my plate to fix the eggs, along with the utensils. The hollandaise sauce was almost separated and not good. The Canadian bacon was very thick and more like a ham steak. I waited for quite a while for her to return to the area and asked for more silverware, to at least be able to eat my potatoes. After about 15 – 20 minutes, the rest of my order returned. The eggs were again over cooked to the point of basically being hard boiled. I ate and left a 20% tip very unsatisfied. I would not recommend this location if you’re looking for quality breakfast food. The service was adequate. The atmosphere was nice outside, if...
