Brittany House Residential Memory Care — Local services in Long Beach

I am writing this review because I want to share my experience with Brittney House. My husband has been there now for about a year and I do want to say every time that there’s an issue or a concern they immediately address it and for that I appreciate it Having trusted with them the safety of my husband who has a brain injury Through the course of nine months, there’s been several employees that have come and gone They’re under new management and I believe they’re doing the very best that they possibly can and they strive for excellence So with that, I’m gonna say there’s a new person in charge and his name is Marcus Falanai❤️🥰.

Throughout the several conversations that I’ve had with this man his only concern is striving for excellence, The care that the residents receive, And how he could do better to make sure their needs are met

I’ll be honest with you I’ve had several concerns sometimes things aren’t always done as promised on the website but I do want to tell you it only takes a phone call and Marcus handles it with Love, Compassion, And consideration for my concerns!

I never thought that I’d go through this with my husband he’s young and he has a brain injury, but Marcus takes him under his wing and tries to fulfill his day with structured activities! He generally seems concerned about my husband’s well-being and if something isn’t right, he’s always willing to look at what we can do to resolve the situation.

I am grateful that there’s somebody like Marcus who actually really cares instead of somebody who just does their job and gets a paycheck! I would also like to commend Mandy, who is in charge of administration, who is always looking for alternative ways to fix whatever issue or problem that might be occurring

There is more that I would like as far as gardening or walks, or a little bit more outdoor activities but from experience, I wasn’t able to provide them for my husband in my own home, so I cant expect them to do, t Especially on a bigger capacity

I would like to say, though that every time I call and I have an issue, Marcus is absolutely fantastic and he always addresses my issue and it helps me come up with a solution so in general I’d like to say Brittney House is willing to work with you and they will find a solution for your concerns and needs

There’s also several workers that deserve credit! Sherie, Shelley, Trika cook,,sandy (head of care takers) , Caroline , The entire office staff in the front, The entire cooking staff who Three meals a day, The cleaning staff, the laundry, staff, and anybody else who I forgot I’m just saying that I’m grateful to all of you. Thank you for taking such great care of my husband.

We had avoided the elephant in the room for as long as we could as no one feels like dealing with putting a loved one in care. Dealing with other homes first made things even worst as super aggressive sales people in these huge corporate houses just wanted to sign you up, imagine a slimy car salesperson except you have a lot more on the line then your transportation.

I then luckily stumbled upon Brittany House and despite it being a little farther than i wanted my mom to be was immediately drawn to it as Erin which i spoke to on the phone was completely different. She took time to listen and really understand our situation and offered for me to come in with my mom and check it out ourselves . Despite my mom not wanting to go and complaining all the way down there , she actually said “i like that place, they are so friendly and i can make some friends there”. That made me so relieved as i had this sense that i was doing her an injustice but in fact her being all alone in an apartment was the injustice.

She has been there for 6 months now and loves it. Whenever my brother and i go visit she is so excited to introduce us to new friends she has made.

My name Paul Hayes, and I want to give a shout out to the BRITTANY HOUSE 🏠!!! I'm a decorated disable MARINE combat veteran with many health issues. The Brittany house team was, has and continues great care of my mom! This place is not a death house! Always taking care of all patients and their needs...this place is Great 👍! On top of that getting started, coping, the paperwork, medical calls (as in dealing with hospitals, even well being of my mom calls) and financial responsibilities. Colleen and Stephanie are there to help. The nurses are outstanding, it's difficult sometimes, but they all stay nice and work with my mom, who doesn't play well with others has came around and now doesn't need her own room anymore! 😀. All the staff, administrators, and nurses have always helped my mom and mine issues on every subject! I strongly recommend the BRITTANY HOUSE 🏠 👌!, to anyone that needs this service for their loved ones. It's a hard decision to make, but my mom has a better quality of life than I can give.
