This is a great place to get information for the peninsula, but today a couple from the Netherlands had stopped in there and were told by a volunteer that people can drive on the beach and it can be risky. Well, my husband and I ended up pulling this couple's car out of the sand on the Oysterville beach approach. They thought they could just drive off the main beach approach road onto the sand not knowing the sand was too deep for a vehicle with no four wheel drive. We also pulled the truck out that had tried to pull the car out as he got stuck in the deep sand. I'm just saying, for those of you that are not familiar with the beach and driving on it, it is best to stay on the hard part of the road until you get to the end of the approach and then drive with some gusto and go out...

Went in to see about a map so I could do some biking on the peninsula "Oh, that's to dangerous", "there are curvy roads up that way" "Its too far". WHAT?!! made me feel like leaving the peninsula! Then a car started up outside (an old classic Cadillac), revved up it's engine a bit and drove away. The comments from the staff was, well, inappropriate and disgusting!...
