The owner/manager needs to be present here, we had such a bad experience at this restaurant from the time we arrived till trying to get our check. Firstly in my opinion if you are going to advertise “homemade” “housemade” you really should make it in house instead of using a can opener. We ordered the “homemade” corned beef hash, $18.00 it was from a can and the servers knew it but looks at you and lies about that with a wink. The omelette was way undercooked and with runny eggs that were inedible. $19.00 the toast was as hard as a rock like it has been sitting out for an hour and the hash browns were burnt on one side and raw on the other. The table next to us made a joke about the hollandaise sauce being so bright that it looks like toxic waste but clearly came out of a packet just add water. The prices reflect that of an upscale breakfast restaurant in the city or nice hotel. The food and service did NOT come close to reflecting these prices. The coffee was bland and a Carmel watery color. $4.00. Now for the service, they only had a couple tables of 2 tops but were so stressed out it made us feel stressed, we don’t want to hear about the daily struggles you face everyday at the restaurant, we want good service, good food that is worth the inflated prices you charge. My jaw dropped when I asked for the check and the server pointer her finger at me and said in a minute, that minute took no less than 10 minutes. I chose not to complain or send back anything in fear of never seeing our server or food again, however the server could clearly see we ate less than half our plates if that. She didn’t want to ask us if we enjoyed our meal maybe in fear she would hear a complaint, instead she asked if we needed a Togo box. They need a manager to oversee this establishment, and the food that is being served as it will eventually become an issue for them. Needless to say we will not be coming back. There are far better breakfast restaurants in this lovely town for much better prices where the servers and cooks actually care what they are serving for the prices they...
Read moreBEWARE, if you are a person of color, you are not welcome here. My party showed up at the restaurant and was immediately told there would be a long wait. As we looked inside, we saw several empty tables. The waitress claimed our party size of seven was too large. We offered to split up to make things easier for them.
The waitress exchanged looks with another waitress and then changed her story from a long wait to not being able to accommodate us due to our party size. Again, we asked to split up, but that still wasn't good enough for their empty tables. It was clear they didn't want us there. Everyone dining inside was white (American). Our presence would have disrupted their comfort zone.
The restaurant made zero effort to accommodate us, and it was blatantly obvious that we were being discriminated against because of our race. The fact that only white people were dining inside and there were several empty tables for us to sit at speaks volumes about their discriminatory practices. This kind of racism is unacceptable and disgusting.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who cares about being treated fairly and with respect. No one should support a place that discriminates against...
Read moreWe came to get our kid's birthday breakfast this morning. They let us know we'd have a twenty minute wait, no problem. We wait patiently for twenty minutes, watching other families go in first. No problem. My partner goes in to see what the wait is since it's been twenty minutes and our young kid is getting antsy. Mind you, we have been sitting outside the front door this whole time. The host says they called us three times and moved on. We had been outside the door. Waiting. How could we have possibly missed them? Either they are entirely incompetent, or they saw two moms and decided to refuse service. Regardless, we aren't making the mistake of returning. From the windows, the food looked middling at best anyway. Now we get to manage a disappointed kid on her birthday. Thanks. So. Much. Save your...
