I wanted to share my experience in a review as I had an amazing session today! I highly recommend this place for so many reasons, so I’m going to go over all the pros and cons of the experience for those wondering about constructive reviews!

Pro:

1. the place was generally very quiet and is centered around you as you don’t see any other people while your appointment is booked/you’re guided to your room. The person who guided me to the room checked in a little later and told me when my therapist would be arriving as I came in earlier than my appointment just in case.
2. the rooms are dark, there’s always nice music playing, the beds are heated and they offered me free aromatherapy because I had to wait a couple of minutes into my appointment due to one of the people on staff being sick (they were a bit busy)
3. the massage itself is honestly the best thing I’ve experienced in terms of body treatment. There was plenty of moisturizing going on, my body stayed warm/hot majority of the time. The massage itself was thoroughly done, everything besides your obvious areas was worked out and more difficult spots were worked through accordingly!
4. There was communication every now and then during the massage, my therapist noticed a reaction to a particularly tough spot and asked if it’s too hard immediately after me flinching.
5. You can feel that you pay for the time they spend with you, I was honestly surprised at how long the massage felt but that’s because they really do take care of you head to toe.
6. The checkout is quick, there is an ATM available in the store for any reason, everything was quick and painless! The offered me water post appointment as well as it’s important to stay hydrated!
7. They have online and over the phone booking! My booking was over the phone and they were very quick to book me in!

Cons:

1. I wish upon arrival I had a little introduction/instructions when coming into the room. I’ve been to a professional masseuse before so I knew to get under the light sheet, but I was only told to undress upon arrival. I would’ve loved if the person checking me just gave me a little run down in case I haven’t been to something like this before. (If you’re coming in, undress to your comfort level (I also take off all of my jewelry) and get under the thinner sheet on the table. You don’t have to lay on your belly while you’re alone in the room and can sit up while waiting for your therapist!)
2. The sheet was thinner than I expected, but it evened out with the warmth of the room and bed, I was always covered unless the needed areas were being worked out.
3. I wasn’t asked about my problem areas, but by the end of the experience everything was worked out so nicely that I realized I didn’t need to tell them. If you’re struggling with anything body wise, I would still let your therapist know. They’re here for you and this is your experience!
4. Their doorbell fits with the music but is still noticeable throughout the session. Trust me when I say you won’t be paying attention to that once the session starts, but I did want to mention that it’s a long sound on the doorbell for those sensitive to that.

Overall experience was a 5/5! Regardless of the cons, the whole thing was an absolute heaven to be in. I came out wobbling side to side, reborn anew. Everyone was very friendly and got me in an out quickly. I will definitely be going back in about 2-3 weeks!

NOPE ❌❌❌!! Not going back. I took my 76 year old grandmother here for a reflexology massage, because she suffers from arthritis, carpel tunnel syndrome, poor blood circulation, and more. I especially chose Gunston's Massage after comparing the prices and reviews to other places, and after reading the glowing reviews for Gunston, I thought this could be a place that could really give my grandmother some pain relief for her feet and legs.

Unfortunately, $170.00 later (+tip & credit card service fee), my grandma immediately told me this was the worst massage she ever experienced 😔!! The room was COLD and did not have heat, the session did not include any techniques that targeted pain points/pressure points, the masseuse who serviced my grandma was rough and didn't apply any tender touch/specialization, and my grandmother also had to tell the masseuse 3 times (practically raising her voice) to be more gentle!

It broke my heart to see my grandmother in MORE PAIN after her massage, instead of less pain. Especially when so much money was spent, and we were really looking for a return in our investment.

I can definitely say the employees were nice, but the service? For how much was paid?...
