Ametron — Local services in Los Angeles

Parked here Sunday 7/9/17. Took the kids to Hollywood for the evening during our recent vacation. The attendant said they close at 10. We came back at 9:57 and the huge metal gate was closed and locked. There was no phone number to call. After freaking out for a bit, i finally think to google them and find a number but its the number for the store and they're closed. My phone shows i called at 9:59, so obviously I was there before 10...I ended up having to pay for an Uber back to my hotel with the kids which was a 50 min drive. We were planning to stop for some food on the way back to the hotel (we were so busy in Hollywood we didnt have a chance to stop and eat so we were starving) and some milk for the morning because we were out but that plan got changed. Also ruined our plans for the next day. My purse was in the trunk of the car also. Thank God i had taken my credit card with me and not just cash because i would have had to take a cab and that would have been super expensive. And I also had to pay for an lyft back to Hollywood the next day to retrieve my rental car. I had to wait and keep checking for a time when the lyft price was actually reasonable. DO NOT PARK HERE!!! With the demise of Radio Shack I found myself in need of a new electronics store. Not just any old electronics store though but rather one that carried a vast selection of parts and accessories that were not your mainstream electronics. An electronics store that carried just about every shape, size, and voltage of every battery that has ever found its way into electronics gear (much like the battery selection at Radio Shack...RIP). I found all of that and more at And from. It doesn't look like much from the outside. You might not even realize that there is an electronics store here. Wait until you get inside though. It is electronic geek heaven. They even have an equipment rental division where you can rent the high end HD camera or audio mixer etc... That you need to finish a project. My only complaint is that it is sometimes hard to find those small electronic parts you are looking for because there is just aisle after aisle of diodes, circuit boards, cables, connectors etc. That is a pretty trivial complaint though when you consider that this place really is a one stop electronics store store. Friendly storeman Mike walked me thru all I would need to make the finest film/tv audio kit. I then researched all he spoke to me about and found that not only the prices are the best the info given me was solid and useful. I spoke to a customer for a short moment about how he felt about this store and he told me that if you work in Hollywood in audio then get acquainted with Ametron as they will become my best knowledgable friends. I trust this place and will get my kit and all other purchases from them unless i find a better and extremely lower price on incidental items. They understand that too but it will be hard to beat their prices on anything. Wonderful store,...
