If I could give it less than 1 star, I would.. Now, the reason why;
The place is filthy. The rooms don't have air conditioners and you have to put down a $20 deposit to even get a fan. God forbid you lose that receipt because if you do you won't get your money back, even if you return the fan. The rooms were small, but that's not even what bothered me. Cockroaches. This place has a cockroach infestation. Now, if you don't mind gigantic cockroaches, then this is the place for you. However, I was bit by one. Yeah, who knew? The first night I stayed there, I woke up to a huge whelp on my leg. Guess what it was from? A cockroach. I told the woman that was working there and you know the terrible part about that? She didn't seem surprised at all. Apparently this is a common thing.
Now, the rooms are $40+ tax. They have a 28 day policy. Which isn't bad if you're in between apartments or if you're just tight on money, but you seriously get what you pay for. If there wasn't cockroaches, I wouldn't have been bothered.. But, that is unsanitary and the fact that cockroaches can spread many diseases just doesn't sit right with me. A hotel, ANY HOTEL, should do weekly or bi-weekly bug spray killer to make sure that things like this DOESN'T happen.
Now, when you sign in they'll take your I.D to make a copy of it. They'll also have you pay a $20 cleaning deposit and a $10 key deposit. Again, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LOSE THESE RECEIPTS OR YOU WON'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK. REGARDLESS OF YOU GIVING THE KEY BACK OR CLEANING OUT THE ROOM OF YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. It's the stupidest thing I've ever been through in my life, but it's their policy. So make sure that you always have that receipt put up somewhere safe. If you have a knack for losing stuff (like I do) then face it, you're screwed.
They have vending machines right as you walk in, the vending machines are relatively cheap. 50c for chips and $1 for sodas and certain candies. Be prepared, you may lose a dollar in it when you're exchanging for quarters. If you have the bad luck of trying exchange your dollar for quarters and they happen to be out, you're out of luck until the manager (Laurie) is there to refill it. I know, it happened to me.
They do have a swimming pool.. I wouldn't swim in it. While I was there, the pool was filthy. Like it hadn't been clean all year.
If you're going to stay in this hotel, just have a watchful eye. It's not the best place around, but it is the cheapest.. And there's a reason why. It's a pitiful excuse of a hotel. So, overall.. I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't enjoy my stay.
Below I've included a picture of the bite on my leg. The picture below is the bite healing. It was raised and really red the first couple days. Now, it's a faded red, but you can see the...
ย ย ย Read moreIf your looking for an inexpensive place to lay your head with at night this is the place for you. I've been staying here for the past 6 months and honestly couldn't be more happy with the accommodations.
It's good to know what your looking for when you come for example I always take a downstairs A/C room towards the rear of the hotel usually between the kitchen and laundry room just so I'm in close proximity to everything I need. I also prefer to be off the main roads which provides less background noise. But of course I'm flexible since I know rooms go quickly, but it doesn't hurt to ask
It's also good to know since they aren't charging like your typical hotel a few things are set up different. There's no maid service everyday you maintain your own room as you see fit. Your able to exchange your linens once a week and your towels daily.
Your room has all your basic needs no more no less. Dresser, bed, night stand, chair, private bathroom with a tub and shower combo, and your own personal fridge to keep your food.
In addition to all of that they have done a great job of making sure you have all you need onsite to function normally. There's a shared kitchen to cook your meals in with a full oven and stove top, toasters, and microwaves to make your meals, they have three washers and three dryers available, and first come first serve parking in the back. Most people I see have issues with parking but I myself have never had a problem. People are coming and going pretty much all day. Their office up front is open 24/7 if I have questions or need some help and maintenance is onsite Monday thru Friday 8-5. And their response time is amazing. Usually an hour tops if that.
I most definitely look at this place as a god send and look forward to many more stays in the future.๐ฏ๐๐
**Oh and to those people who left reviews talking about roaches I find that interesting because I've never had a problem I think in my 6 months of staying here I've seen one and it was outside. So I tend to feel like those people are just upset with the hotel for some reason and need something bad to...

I stayed there for a week upstairs and the room they assigned me gave me the creeps by how nasty it was (YOU'RE STUCK WITH THE ROOM THEY ASSIGN YOU TO, THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO SWITCH ROOMS EVEN IF YOU WANT) There was no air conditioning, the wifi barely worked and there were roaches in my room! My advice to anyone who's considering this place as their temporary residence bring your own bed sheets and a fan!!!! There's also LONG TERM TENANTS that actually live there even though they tell you you're only allowed to stay for four weeks. Which in my opinion is unprofessional as a business to give false information to paying customers. The employees are also VERY rude and tend to cut you off as you speak to them; the manager especially (which is the older Caucasian woman with light hair who also lives on the first room upstairs to the right of the hall on the left side of the wall) I was told by her that I could no longer stay at studio lodge after a week of me being there due to there being noise complaints allegedly coming from my room. Apparently some of the PEREMENANT RESIDENCE were hearing loud noises such as door slamming and loud music (which myself included heard the noises as well) and somehow my room number was chosen without my acknowledgement as the source of where all the noise was coming from. I was given no warning to leave until the day it was time to pay for the room again. I explained to the manager that I was not making the noises and that I heard them too but she kept cutting me off as I would try to explain and insisted that I leave. It was very unprofessional and morally wrong of them to evict an innocent person under false allegations. In my opinion if they were a respectable and professional business they would've have personally knocked door to door around the area were the noises were being made to find the accurate source but by them being unprofessional and low class they didn't! They don't have the guests...
