I am so disappointed that I have to leave a review like this, but for such a beautiful apartment, the whole experience has been really disheartening. Iāve lived in several buildings in Los Angeles and NEVER have I experienced such horrible management. In fact, every building Iāve ever lived in has been for 4-7 years at a time. I was already looking at apartments to move as soon as my lease was up.
First of all, they changed the rent on me in the middle of the application process. Coincidentally after I had to provide bank statements because Iām self employed. That didnāt feel good.
Secondly, I wasnāt allowed to have a spare key for my apartment. If I had a guest over and the person with the key left (to the gym or the pool) the other person couldnāt leave and lock the door.
Packages were stolen 80% of the time, I lost most of my mail, homeless people screaming outside, and if youāre a Wilshire facing unit, the construction is constant (city construction that works even at 2 am in the morning). All of this for an inflated price.
So despite how pretty my apartment was, it just never felt good being home. And thereās nothing worth than feeling like youāre being cheated where you live.
Fast forward, I moved out at the end of my lease and was told Iād get my fill deposit back. I moved out October 31st⦠it is April 1st and I FINALLY got my check (after they assured me Iād get my full deposit back⦠and my place was SPOTLESS when I moved out). After multiple claims the ācheck was in the mailā I finally received it⦠it was supposed to be $750 and it was for $105. Like come on⦠after how many months?
Iām still awaiting the explanation but I do not have high hopes. Never in my life have I experienced such shady behavior.. and when it comes to where you love, you should feel good, not like youāre part of some management scheme.
I will say that the management on site tried their best but it really feels like the ādecision makersā based on whatever other state could care less about the humans they house.
Ooof, I have never been so disappointed and felt to take advantage of in a housing situation in my life.
On and if toured seeing the other negative reviews on here, they are completely accurate in their respective experiences....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't normally leave reviews, but this property should not be in business and I highly encourage everyone who lives here to get out while they can. I also believe that anyone looking to live here should find another place with different property management.
When I first moved to this apartment complex during the pandemic, it was owned by a different company and was taken care of. When it changed hands, things went quickly downhill. The upstairs grill was neglected and frequently off, cars were broken into to the point I was uncomfortable leaving my vehicle in a gated garage while out of town, unhoused people screaming directly outside the building during all hours of the night, stolen packages, and filthy hallways. The last month I was there, someone pulled the fire alarm and there was no one at the property to let the firemen in to turn off the alarm. They had to break the door with an axe.
When I moved out, I cleaned my apartment thoroughly and took care of everything discussed on the checklist. I was a good tenant. My lease also expired many, many months before that and I paid an extra amount per month because I knew I was going to move.
In the lease, the security deposit said the refundable amount was to be $1,500. I got back $310.96 with hidden charges decreasing the value. When I emailed them about this, they didn't respond. These prices were inflated to deliberately undermine whatever security deposit they owed.
To make matters even worse, a year later the property management calls me to tell me I owe an additional $500 as a "move out fee." This was not discussed nor was I bound by a lease at that point. They since have sent the matter to collections despite there being no reasoning for this fee.
I will be filing a complaint with the FTC and CFPB because no property management team should be able to get away with something so blatantly fraudulent and duplicitous. They're scam artists, plain and simple.
If you, the property management team, have reached the point of reading this and are thinking of responding with some boiler plate response, please don't. It's clear from the past few reviews that we all see right through your scheme....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRude & frustrating management . (I was going to rate 1 star but added one more because ANOTHER friendly leasing office staff reached out to me and explained, but I still want to point out the existing problem)
I hardly leave reviews but the attitude just pushed me over the edge.
First of all, fairly speaking - the location & units are great, very walkable and convenient, BUT some ppl at the leasing office can be really PASSIVE.
Iāve been a resident here for almost 3 years, always enjoyed here. But I had a package issue recently that I was charged continuously by parcel pending for 5 days straight, so I walked in the leasing office to address that.
The office manager Hannah told me that they could do nothing about the lockers system and that I had to contact them directly. I understood and agreed with that, but randomly mentioned that Iāll call the Parcel Pending customer service outside the office and MIGHT pop in again if any other information is needed from the leasing office.
I was quite sure I wasnāt going to bother them, I brought that up just in case. However, after hearing my request, Hannah (the leasing office manager) immediately said she would be in meetings all day and wouldnāt be available to help at all, and that āshe has more prioritized tasks to doā. š
This is NO WAY a reasonable attitude to treat a long-term resident as an apt staff. First of all, I clearly said that I might need more help JUST IN CASE, but most likely I wonāt bother again, itās not like I was going to stick to her all day;
Secondly , instead of directly brushing me off, Hannah, as the apt manager, could have just assign a different member to help me if sheās really busy, rather than implying āOk Iām busy from now on, donāt come againā.
This is so rude and UNPROFESSIONAL.
Gladly, another member (I donāt want to expose the name just to be safe) later came to me and apologized. But unfortunately itās still a frustrating experience due to the office manager. Hopefully that doesnāt...
