Catbird Larchmont — Local services in Los Angeles

I love catbird jewelry and have been a catbird customer since 2011. I hate the in-store experience. The website says that walk-ins are always ok for welding but when I showed up with my niece to get her one for her 18th day, they said they couldn't. I was upset at having to reschedule that so they were great and gave us 20% off (it was called "appeasement") what we bought that day, saying we could get the bracelets welded later. A few weeks later I made an appointment and showed up but unfortunately said they'd be a half hour behind schedule and at least let me got of the other two in line because I had another place I needed to get to. They also mentioned that it would be free only bc it was within a 30 day window they haven’t mentioned before. When I sat for the weld, they said the bracelet I had gotten (which had a clasp and was a half an inch too long) would go to recycling and I would be getting a chain from the spooked strand. I asked if I could keep the clasp because I already paid for it and gold has value in weight. They said no because they can't touch the existing bracelet even though they said they would just recycle it. This all left a really bad taste. I'll stick to the online store. It's less...

I adore Catbird and usually buy online, and I dropped in on this new location to see a few things in person - the staff was so sweet and helpful, above and beyond helpful - I ended up buying 2 pairs of diamond studs and they arranged shipping for 1 pair that they ran out of stock in - shipped free to my home super quick, and they honored a discount code I was going to use online. Yesterday Maria helped me pick out a snake ring! She was super lovely and patient as I tried a bunch of different pieces on. She also helped me size my other fingers and went over some helpful logic for picking a ring (eg durability, band width). I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere here. There was a 20% off deal going on for some pieces. Everyone was very nice and friendly.
