— Update: I have food poisoning. I regret getting this on my way. Spending the rest of day paying for this decision. This is a very very bad location.
Avoid this location even if you’re a fan of Sweetfin chains. The front guy is very rude. Rotten avocado pieces. Hard to find parking during dead hours too.
He was already very condescending at the start. He got my order wrong initially and gave me an attitude when I asked him to change it to the correct one (yuzu salmon does not sound like the albacore bowl). He kept asking me "would that be it" at least ten times - even when I'm ordering at a fast pace given I've been to other locations. Despite being very interruptive while I was selecting ingredients (would that be it after selecting an ingredient in my build my own bowl), he didn't even repeat my order nor said anything even after I paid. I felt like I had to make sure it was correct after realizing he was giving me the sh*tiest service.
What's worse is the food wasn’t to standard. I added extra avocados, which is extra $, and I received only two tiny pieces, both were rotten brown (see photo). Also, it looks like he’s given me a pre-ripped bag. One large bowl and one small bowl, with utensils and napkins (at least he gave me those) - ripped a bag right when I left.
I don’t understand where this is coming from. Was he racially profiling me? Did he have a bad day and felt malicious towards me? No idea, who knew getting a quick late lunch after a long day could suck. This is my first time with this location bc I was on the way but it left a bad taste...
Read moreAlmost every time I visit Sweetfin Poke, I end up disappointed. I kept going back because of their Kelp Noodle Slaw and Bamboo Rice, both incredible choices for a poke base (especially the kelp). But my last visit to the Larchmont location was beyond absurd.
Paying an extra $$$ for just three tiny cubes of avocado? That’s ridiculous, sad, and just plain wrong. Are we in Siberia, where avocados are exotic and rare? No, we’re in California, where they grow abundantly, yet you have the audacity to place only few cubes while charging extra.
This alone is enough to keep me from coming back. Your portions are already small and overpriced compared to other poke spots, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt, believing your fish was fresher and your business more sustainable, until I noticed that the greed took over what was initially a creative and deliscious Poke...
Read moreThe quality has been dropping more and more by the day. My wife and I used to come here at least once a week. Ever since the employees changed, they have been mixing up our order constantly almost every single time. We never get what we order, even though they enter the toppings in their system.
Normally I wouldn't leave a review for this, but tonight we picked up our food for take out. When we came home in about 10 minutes, the fish for both plates was so stinky, we figured there was something wrong. We separated the worst ones and finished the rest. What a disappointment! Now, both my wife and I are sick and have been throwing up since we had the plates.
This was our last time at least for this location, we will...
