Chop Shop Butcher & Grill — Local services in Los Angeles

I used to enjoy popping in here at lunch, but unfortunately the cooking and service at this location has diminished. The only gentleman that can grill to perfection is the guy that wears glasses. He has never messed up a order ever there…I used to make it a point to only come in when he cooked due to them messing up cooking chicken…three times to the point where the nice young lady wearing glasses had to finally grill it herself and corrected the issue. If we’d walk by the window and not see him grilling we’d go elsewhere…it’s hard to recommend this location after that experience, however that wasn’t the final straw to not coming here. I stopped in before closing to order “to go” to find out the grill is off and they’re closed…before their posted hours…while they were trying to dump out their grub hub orders…I could have chose to go elsewhere but I was in the mood for a good steak and thought I’d get service and wow was I disappointed. I hope that in the future if you’re gonna close early or than your posted hours atleast announce it…or have kitchen hours and store hours…cause than I’d have known to go elsewhere and not waste my time or gas…since that’s expensive nowadays. 2-20-20 This place looked like a hole in a wall but looks can be deceiving. Great concept and excellent implementation! Kudos to the crew members and management! Ara, the guy who took my order, was really friendly and professional. It was my first time here, and he was very helpful. I ordered a Tri-tip with a side salad. All ingredients were fresh and tasty. This place is really good if you're looking for quality meat. I got the tri tip plate with french fries, rice and their green salad. It did take about 20 minutes for my food to be ready since they make it when you order it so be prepare or order ahead of time. They allow dine in during this whole pandemic but I just took it as to go. I paid with my credit card and couldn't leave tip on my card since their setup didn't allow that so I felt bad.
