1st time here, went to get food at the PhilHouse. the food was good to look at. i ordered kare kare, papaitan, pakbet and tilapia na may sauce. everything looks great until i ate it. pakbet was lots of eggplant, crushed squash, 1 thick slices of bitter gourd (ampalaya) and looooots of okra. the kare kare was a bummer too! the meat on top looks good (about 2 pieces of it) and then when you dig in on the bottom of the container, the beef part was the yucky part. i mean, the meat mataba na malitid na dikit na dikit ung kakaunting laman. in short, something that shouldn't be served on a meal that you are paying for. the papaitan - okay, that was good. but i hope they cut the tripe a bit more bite size next time. the fish (tilapia with black sauce) - i thought it was fried so i ordered it. the fish was really fishy (malansa) so i should have not ordered it. over all, i will go eat here again (only because it is the closest to our place)

Upon entering this Filipino Market you encounter a mini food-zone consisting of several different food vendors. As you walk past the food-zone you enter the market. The market itself has a welcoming, easygoing casual feeling. The produce section has a nice selection of items, and looks nicely organized and maintained. Of course, being a seafood market there is a large selection of fresh seafood available. As well as all the essentials you might need for your cooking endeavors. The market overall is well maintained, and very clean. This was my first time in a Filipino Market, and I found exploring the selves to be very interesting. I even found some very familiar Asian items while browsing. Some items that I use everyday, like soy sauce, were selling at a great price. I'm most intrigued by the food-zone and it's vendors. All the food looks delicious. I intend to come back and try some authentic Filipino cuisine and expand my horizons.

I bought hotdogs and longganisa the other day and they both smells bad. My only regret is I threw the container right away and lost my receipt. A lot of times this Island pacific is like this, selling old stuff and expired goodies just like the hopia I bought last week. If you are planning to but those prepacked meats , better poke it and try to smell it first because you might be the next victim. If there is a zero star , i would give zero rating for this supermarket.

first time to come here. Good place to buy grocery because of vast choices. but the FOOD court The Mang Inasal its bland, dry and I asked for a sauce to make it taste better but they gave me Mang Tomas and chili sauce!Their Barbeque Chicken and pork needs to be marinated more Gosh its just basic marinating! we bought 4 and 1 free and we can hardly eat it and was wasted because we did not get our money’s worth. We wanted to like the food in this Island Pacific branch but they have to retrain maybe some of their cooks. Our only consolation is the taho, eggpie and pandesal we bought at the bread shop inside, it was really good.but the food in the food court try it first before...
