On 12/18/2017 I made an online purchase for 2 wall sconces from LampsPlus for $199.98. The order was confirmed, my credit card was charged and I was given a delivery date for 12/23/17.
After my product was received by FedEx a tracking number was sent to me and the delivery date was confirmed of 12/23/17. Fedex received the shipment on 12/19/17.
On 12/23/17, the shipment was not received and I tracked the package on FedEx's website. At that point, the package was not trackable and it was undetermined when it would arrive.
Five days later I received a message stating my package had been delivered at the front door at 11:01AM. Fortunately, I was at home and checked my front door only to see that the package had not been delivered. I immediately contacted Fedex, who told me to give it until the end of business day since sometimes it takes until 8PM to actually receive the package. At 10:00PM that evening, I contact FedEx again and started a trace on the package. I was told to give FedEx at least 48 hours. FedEx informed me that they give their drivers 48 hours to respond to traces.
On 12/29/17 I then contacted Lamps Plus to let them know there was an issue and a trace was set up, just to keep them in the loop. At that point they also began a trace with FedEx. On 1/2/18 I contacted FedEx for an update. They had not heard back from their driver. No Updated. I was told to contact the Shipper for resolution.
On 1/2/18, I contacted Lamps Plus again to let them know that FedEx was no longer handling the trace with me and that I had to challenge the delivery with them, Lamps Plus. Lamps Plus asked for me to give them 14 days to complete an investigation. On 1/10/18, I contact FedEx AND Lamps Plus again for an update. FedEx said they never heard back from driver. Lamps Plus said to dispute it with my CC company and to give it another week.
After two more weeks, on 1/29/18, FedEx and Lamps Plus completed the investigate citing they were not responsible. No one will take responsibility.
While I understand that it was in fact FedEx who lost the product and is lying about the delivery, Lamps Plus chose them as the shipper. Lamps Plus now considered the case closed with NO consideration for resolving the issue. I suggested a refund, a reship, or a credit and they only solution was for me to dispute with my credit card company. I am open to any resolution to make me whole. Read moreWonderful experience! Michelle Tan was exceptionally helpful from the moment we walked into the door. We were fortunate to run into her just as she was finishing up helping another customer. She asked very helpful questions about exactly what I was looking for in terms of lighting. She was also respectful of my budget and took us to the clearance section when I mentioned my price range. She walked me through several lamps, explaining the functionality of each, including whether they were dimmable, and even helped me in picking out a bulb for my lighting needs. Her service was nothing short of exemplary. I never felt pushed or hard-sold when dealing with her. And her smile is quite disarming!
Randall Namura was also very helpful, thoughtfully removing the glass lamp covers and wrapping them in bubble wrap so that everything would fit in our car. He put everything on a cart, brought it directly to our car, and even helped us pack everything.
At the end of it all, I walked out with a lovely floor lamp, two table lamps, and bulbs for everything at under $200. Phenomenal experience on every level, and I will definitely be back for...
Read moreI am shopping chandaliers for a job and am SHOCKED at how GREAT my experience with Lamps Plus has been from online phone customer service, online phone PRO dept customer service to in store with the ENTIRE staff of the Chatsworth store. I had a weird requests because of the project and they were all accommodating and very kind and professional. Pramod was my main in store salesperson and he even helped me over the phone later with my additional questions. I interacted with Behzah, Diana and Randall as well...and they were all helpful. I know this sounds fake, but I have had such bad customer service in the past and at most online and in store business that to come across a business that is across the board providing such good service I am blown away.
