Well I have an issue with my rebuilt TIPM and I can not get in touch with a human to speak to about his option . I’ve called and waited over 25 mins. With the AI answering system indicating I was next in Que to have my call answered just to finally be handed off to another automated phone recording telling me you guys are too busy to take my call right now and to leave a message for a call back. It’s been 36 hours and I have since text messaged, emailed , and used the chat options. This is not acceptable customer service or after sales service. I have lost my blower motor for my AC /Heat -Defrost and the blower relay is built internally inside the TIPM and I can not be without my vehicle for the time it would take to remove the unit , ship it from South Carolina , wait for yall to receive it , repair it, and ship it back from California . This is the whole reason I had to pay for your most expensive option and order a rebuilt unit with expedited shipping two day delivery. Also the 20 amp fuse that runs the fuel pump was burnt and melted I assume from a high resistance connection within the fuse slot itself, so before I burns up my fuel pump, I replaced that fuse and applied some dielectric grease to the fuse blades to ensure a solid connection . However I need this circuit checked out as well to ensure no future issues down the road. Or better yet check all of these things within a new rebuilt unit and get it out to me ASAP with prepaid shipping label so that I can return this first unit you guys sent out to me obviously not completely tested and checked out. I shouldn’t be asked to take my car back apart and wait for you guys to receive this , perform the repairs and wait for it to come back , nor should I be asked to financially secure another unit before you guys send another unit out to me . I’ve already paid for product and services it’s up to you guys to deliver on the goods I’ve already purchased. Please contact me soon so we can resolve these issues.TIPM purchased and delivered October 3rd. 2025 -Called, Texted, Emailed, and Chatted back to customer support October 13th 2025 with no live interaction from a human yet despite my consistent request for a human to speak to about my issues and how we are going to solve them . Your Automated phone and AI support recommends that I have to make this purchase again to get another unit shipped to me prior to returning this faulty unit...
Read moreMy 2007 Jeep Wrangler started having erratic electrical issues, door locks, not working, washer spray not spraying, etc.. After a significant amount of research, it looked like the TIPM module was at fault. Something that 07 wranglers were known for. I opted to repair my original TIPM module. I wa able to easily open a ticket online, and Send it in and pay the $239 repair fee. Something I was happy to do compared to the rate for the dealership repair. During the whole process, I was updated as to when they received my module, when it was assigned to a technician, and when the repair was completed and ultimately shipped.
Unfortunately, when I got the module back, everything seemed to work however, there was an issue with the Jeep, not starting. It appeared that something was not sending proper voltage to the fuel pump. I spoke to technical support which was very prompt and courteous and gave me additional troubleshooting tips. When those failed I contacted MAKS to have the unit sent back for warranty repair. At this point in time, a gentleman by the name of Henry became involved and contacted me to find out details about the issues I was having. It was sent back to the Technician who initially repaired it, and Henry seemed to personally monitor the progress. Ultimately, he noted that there was in fact some additional items that appeared to be faulty. The item was again repaired and promptly shipped back to me, which I received about two days later.
Upon receipt, I quickly installed the module and everything worked perfectly from that point on. It is only been two weeks since I have installed it but at this point, everything continues to work. Henry has followed up with me on two separate occasions to ensure I was still satisfied with the process.
In my opinion, the real measure of any vendor is customer service. When things go wrong that is the time when good companies shine. Despite having to send it back for an additional repair, I can say I’m extremely pleased with the product, the result, cost, and most definitely the staff involved. I would not hesitate to recommend MAKS to my...
Read moreMak's TIPM rebuilders are experts in their line of work and an absolutelty phenonmenal shop! I was working on a 2011 Volkswagen Routan, that was had programming issues. Code B2206, B2216, C2216, etc. and ABS, TRAC, and Brake lights were all on as well as low fuel (even though tank was full). I didn't have access to the rearview camera or power sliding doors/trunk either.
I probably had a dozen guys including myself take a look at it with no solution. Took it to 5 dealerships here in my area with none of them being able to figure out the issue. Unless you have an approved J2534 tool that will work with wiTech2 and TechAuthority your out of luck and to purchase a Mopar Diagnostic Pod is $2,000. You also can't get a used one because it needs to be registered and no one has access to their login. You also can't just put in a used TIPM as VIN #'s need to match, and I couldn't rewrite the VIN for the TIPM.
After 1 year of messing with this vehicle, I found out about Mak's TIPM Rebuilders. Decided to give them a call with very little hope left on getting this car fixed. I spoke to a guy, I believe his name is Chase, over the phone and he answered every single question that I had. He had unbelievable patience and guided me on how to proceed. Super knowledgable telling me all these random failures that TIPM's have. He said a relearn is the best way to go to begin, and that he would send me a shipping label (they pay for shipping to).
Turnaround time was less than 2 weeks, which was not bad, and Mak's is so reasonablly priced, especially if you look at what dealerships charge. Got my part back and followed the install, and soft reset instructions. As soon as I turned the key everything was fixed. No more dash lights and the fuel amount was registering. Power doors and liftgate were also working.
I very rarely give reviews, but these guys were so nice, did such a good job, and were so reasonablly priced that I just had to. I will tell all my friends and everyone in general about these guys. Knowing how often these TIPM's go, I will continue to send them my business. Thank you guys so much for...
