I'm pretty upset about my recent experiences with the cashiers office staff. I don't usually complain, but their rudeness is concerning. I called to make a payment and was informed it couldn't be done over the phone, which I understood. However, their tone was unnecessarily standoffish.
Over the past two months, I've made three attempts to resolve this. Each time, I was brusquely told to use the student portal, but my payment wasn't showing up there. They didn't offer to redirect me to IT support and just told me to come in person.
I went to the office early, at 8:12 AM, only to find it closed with a sign mentioning there business of hours has been updated from the website. When I called again after arriving at work, I was told they open at 8 AM. The staff member I spoke with was dismissive and told me there was no need to argue. I reach of point of disbelief because she didn’t recognize my confusion and I felt gaslighted.
I hope this reaches management to address these internal issues. It's important for staff to provide polite and helpful customer service, especially early in the morning and to assist there students as much as they can. This experience has made me uncomfortable with the staff at this campus, and I wouldn't recommend the school based on this experience. Hopefully some changes...

However, I’m giving 1 star because English is not my first language, and I had difficulty understanding the person at the education office desk during our phone conversation. They spoke very quickly, so I asked them to repeat themselves 2–3 times and to please speak more slowly. When they spoke slower, I understood and responded without any problem.
But throughout our brief 5-minute call, I could clearly sense frustration and an annoyed tone whenever I asked them to repeat or slow down. This felt unprofessional to me. After all, you are serving immigrants or people who are starting over in life, and English may not be their native language.

Read moreI love the school but the phone service could be better like when they call you and you call back the number is not in service and it's irritating and in my opinion rude seems to me they need a phone person for every department. Oh and the food in the cafeteria could taste and look better
Edit: I graduated in 2019 and I’m proud to be a Seahawk!😁. My experience at Harbor college was amazing I gained so many skills that prepared me for the next level in life. The phone lines are better now 😅. The year I graduated we got a campus upgrade and a top notch kitchen.
