Upon checking into the room, there was a faint smell of marijuana in the room. I only had time to leave my belongings and head out to an event. I returned late at night; the scent still lingered in the room, but I was tired and went straight to bed. In the morning, I went to use the iron, which was attached to the closet wall. As I removed the iron, I noticed a fair amount of marijuana (around 2 grams) on the top closet shelf. I immediately called the front desk and requested the supervisor remove it. The supervisor and the head maintenance technician came to the room a short time later, I showed it to them, and they removed it. The supervisor apologized and said she would speak with housekeeping. She then offered me a meager 15% discount on the room, the standard discount for booking on the BW website. Ironically, this hotel requires a steep $200 deposit at check-in and informs guests that if the room smells like smoke, they keep the $200. The supervisor assured me that I would not be penalized, which I wasn't. I did think it was weird to require such a steep deposit from guests and demand they do not smoke in the rooms (including marijuana), only for the guests to find a fair amount of marijuana in the room. I understand that marijuana is legal in some states, not federally, and that there are a lot of people who are okay with it. However, many people (like me) also can't stand it and want nothing to do with it. A 15% discount falls far short of what I had to deal with regarding my morals, viewpoints, and standards. The room should have been comped. At this property, it is clear that management is more concerned with turning a profit than creating a democratic space for guests who are not pro-marijuana. Bottom line, if you are pro-marijuana, then stay here, as there is a probability you will find free marijuana waiting for you in your room. On the other hand, if you do not want to see or find drugs (legal or not) in your room, stay somewhere else, as there is a probability you will find marijuana in your room here. The...

Read moreI came here because our original plans fell through for accommodation and things book out quick and I was in a wedding so it just needed to be close to the venue but not super pricey being as we had a lot to do and I needed several days. It is right off the free way however it's a left turn on a very busy road so I just went to the light ever time maybe in the off season you can make a left with out waiting forever. But that wasn't to bug of a deal. It isn't in the best neighborhood so I would not leave anything in your car that is visible that being said. It has a good lit up parking lot which is nice. Bring wish clothes I don't know if they had a shortage or what I have really long hair so usually need a towel for my hair and body yeah they are really stingy about that. They also for two people gave us one wash cloth and one hand towel. Was kind of annoying. Even when we asked for them. Fortunately I brought beach towels so we made it work. They do have a pool and hot tub it's small but fine the ph was off by alot though it was super foggy and not very clean. We noticed the same garbage was left on the tables and ground everyday and accumulating. The room was fairly clean. Not as clean as I would have liked but not to the point that we felt the need to leave just wear slippers your feet will be instantly black. We also had to wiped things down ourselves. They had breakfast it was typical what you would expect only bummer is the eggs were ice cold so I don't know what happened there. So I guess I would say If you just need a place to sleep this place will do we didn't have much time to spend here anyways which was for the best. All in all I wouldn't stay here again for the price I wish I had picked the other place but it wasn't the worse either. I am not sure why it has the reviews it has but...
