Mind games is a great and awesome store with a wide variety of gadgets and collectibles which I can 100% say is true. However today I had a very unexpected encounter with an employee that will most likely make me not want to walk near that store again. There was an employee with gray hair and glasses strapped to his neck with a band connected on either side of the ends of the glasses. Me and my friends had first walked into the store looking for cards in the back corner. We had just gotten to the back corner when the employee stated earlier walked up on me hitting a dance. Then he said that he knew what we were up to and told us to “Just beat it”, it was at this point where I was wondering what we had done. He told us that we were suspicious, which was because we are teenagers and lots of people in our age group are irresponsible. My other friends were also harassed and then kicked out because they are upon our age group. I was quite disappointed in this store at the moment because I have been going to Mind Games for a while and never had this problem. I was even going to buy something like a normal paying customer. A bit later we went back to the store to go and browse the stores awesome board game collection because I have a side of me that loves to play board games. Me and my friend were first greeted by a kind employee that asked how our days had been, which I thought was a great sign that we were ok to browse and possibly buy board games. But before we knew it the mean and subjective employee had shown up next to us, telling us to leave the store. We left the store and I stayed back looking at the board games from outside the store In the main walking area of the Westfield Shopping Center. A bit later I could see the mean a subjective employee calling someone while looking at me which implies that it was security. At that point I decided that I was going to be the chill and better person in that situation by leaving the area to not cause any trouble that did not have to happen if the employee just let us be normal paying customers. I am so sorry for any other people of my age that have had experiences like this one and that also goes to people of all ages. I would like to see that mind games does something about this employees actions in this incident. I felt pretty attacked for no reason today which was very surprising from a store that I love so much. I might not want to go back to that store in the future because of how me and my friends were treated. You may have just lost a customer....
Read moreMy wife and I spent about 10 minutes in this store browsing product. Not once were we approached by an associate. Instead, he spent his time (on the clock) trashing capitalism and evil corporations with another person in the store, all the while praising socialism. It wasn't until after I left, turning around, walking backwards, blatantly looking at them, giving them a two handed goodbye, and telling them, "Socialism has never worked," was I recognized. With profoundly unearned confidence the puppet replied, "That's because it's never really been tried before!".
Thank God we live in a capitalist society that gives me a choice to shop at a plethora of competition as apposed to this store. If it wasn't for capitalism, this guy wouldn't have a job, created by, what I assume, is a small business owner selling products created to fit the needs of others, and make a...
Read moreThis is a store with a lot of toys, board games and etc. I stopped by this store inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall because my wife was taking forever trying on clothes at the store next door so instead of waiting for her there, I came in to check out this store. When you walk inside, you'll see some airplane flying inside so it will grab your attention. I checked out their Lego collections, board games, Funko pop, puzzle game and etc. A employee approached me and asked if I needed any recommendations or help but I told him I was just browsing so he told me to let him know if I need assistance. They have a lot of stuff here so you'll probably like the stuff they have, I didn't really look at the prices...
