Shot of Art LA — Local services in Los Angeles

I wish I could give NO STARS!! They are so unprofessional!!! They did NOT show up to our session today. Due to the LA wildfires I wanted to make sure the appointment was not cancelled so I went on their IG page this morning and they posted that they are still operating today. We didn’t receive a call or email that anything changed. So we went to the location 30 minutes early and sat outside and nobody showed up. We called multiple times, no one answered. We sent multiple emails, no one answered. We had to go on their IG social media page where we finally reached someone via DM. How unprofessional to not respond to a customer who paid $500 for a session. After commenting under multiple pictures, I finally received a call and they said they closed for the day due to the weather. I explained to the lady that their IG page says that they are not closed and would be operating today. Also there was no call to give us a heads up about them closing!! I asked for a full refund and was told I had to get store credit or reschedule, I told her I do NOT live in the area. She said she has to see if can REQUEST a refund. Like what do you mean?? This is a inconvenience on YOUR end not mine. They are trying to scam me out of $500 because why would you not offer a full refund when your workers did not show up. You did not call or send an email saying you closed for the day. AND the IG post showing that they are still operating is STILL currently up right now. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I’m currently fighting for a refund that I should’ve received immediately since they closed without notice and never reached out. Our experience at Shot of Art was awesome. Not only is it easy to locate, they have a parking lot on site as well! Less hassle when you’re doing something in downtown LA.

The front desk help were quick & friendly & made sure to check in my party ASAP. We were a few minutes late but we were guaranteed our time slot so long as we didn’t exceed 15 minutes.

After that our instructor Bree(huge shout-out to her!!) explained to us what we were going to be doing & directed us to paint & inspiration wall. She then showed us to our private party room & explained how to set up our paint for our balloons. Also providing keen detail on the paint/water ratio.

She set up balloons & canvas & even helped make sure our BB gun was loaded & had a new gas canister.

**DISCLAIMER: upon arrival we were under the impression that we (a party of 3) were going to get our own canvases. However, we were later told that we would only be SHARING one. Probably the only let down of the whole experience! So make sure you ask questions on what you want/need!!

10/10 would definitely do that again!! It was my crew mate’s bday so we let her keep the canvas as a gift. Would have been cooler if we each got our own...

We did the Romantic Date experience at Shot of Art and it was incredible! The whole session was about 2 hours and included 3 creative activities that made the night unforgettable. First, we each painted our own canvas, which was such a fun and relaxing way to start. Then came the highlight — we used a BB gun to shoot balloons filled with paint onto a big heart, and afterwards they spun it into this amazing piece of art. To top it off, we got to throw paint together and even created a pair of matching shirts!

The staff was so friendly, patient, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. It was the perfect balance of romantic, playful, and hands-on — definitely not your typical date night. We laughed, got a little messy in the best way, and left with keepsakes that will always remind us of this special day.
