Overall, it's a very small Target -- you're pretty much only going to find the absolute essentials. It's priced a bit higher than other Targets in the area (not that other Targets in the area are particularly cheap), seems chronically understaffed and understocked, no baskets or carts (seriously, I think I've had a basket maybe once). You'll also have to ask customer service to get a bag if you need one, so I recommend just bringing your own. What really shocked me was my most recent visit, where I watched a security guard get into it with someone who was supposedly stealing -- I don't know how they could've clocked that, considering this man was still in the aisle where the item was kept and nowhere close to the registers or exits, and what he was "stealing" was large and not hide-able on his own body, but he looked vaguely down on his luck, so I'm guessing thats why. I heard a commotion from across the store and walked over to see the security guard grabbing this man and shoving him up against the aisle repeatedly, yelling at him, threatening him further, but primarily physically assaulting him. I've spent some time in my life reporting on brutality, so I'm familiar with the law surrounding theft. Security guards can ask you to leave (and if they do, you should -- otherwise its considered trespassing), and they have the right to use "reasonable" force if they're to preform a citizen's arrest (usually as a result of trespassing), but should otherwise not touch you. It's such a murky line most security guards avoid touching you at all. What I saw was not reasonable force. You should not be slamming someone up against the aisle and trying to throw them on the ground. Simply put, it's not okay. Employees were dismissive of my concerns, if not fully rude. One manager did seem relatively receptive, and whether that was feigned or not, I do appreciate that. It's the appearance of care that's worth something. This is my neighborhood Target, so it's disappointing, but I definitely won't be back. The excessive force by security was one thing, and the attitude by employees was the nail in the coffin. I presume I won't be missed, but my advice to you is maybe think twice before shopping here. There's a much bigger Target on 7th + Figueroa that can probably serve your needs much better. You'll still be supporting Target, but at least they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey are very rude and unprofessional, I had been accused of putting a item in my waistband, and the woman says could you please take that orange box out of your waistband, I proceed to show her I do not have anything in my waistband and she then says my purse so I open my purse for her...and nothing. I said I don't know why you re treating me this way but first and foremost I don't have anything on me that is from here. And especially I didn't come here to be treated like some kind of criminal I don't have any of the things you asked for and for the record it was a red box of hair dye I picked up and put it right back on the shelf after taking a pic of it. After I told her and led her to where it was she said okay thank you have a good night. So that's it no sorry or excuse me for discrimination against me for whatever reason or even like maybe hey it looked like you might have.... No she outright told me I took something when this was not so.... very shocked and appalled by the way employees treat some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice little store with NO shopping carts to be found. I asked the associates and they both pointed me to opposite directions and no shopping carts. Consequently did half the shopping needed to do. There's only that much I can carry in my bags. The underground parking is a bit crowded and not easy to find. Bare in mind it looks like this store has self checkout only! UPDATE If you do find a shopping cart in the store you can only roll it out to your car after an associate unlocked it for you and goes with you to your car to unload. The carts lock at the exit of the store and do...
