Read moreSpontaneous adventure after dinner in LA! We drove past by this otw to the restaurant, and we thought it looked so fun.
Parking: Free street parking, but it can be very difficult to find.
Environment: This activity is located in Echo Park. We visited at night. It wasn't too busy, but I was surprised to see a decent amount of other people here.
Service: My bf prepaid online through Viator. Our reservation was at 20:24. We checked in at the cart, signed a waiver, and given life vests. We headed down towards the dock where other workers assisted us getting on the swan. They gave us a very quick n brief tutorial of how to navigate the swan.
Activity: Hope you're ready for a leg workout lol! It was very difficult navigating the swan. We were told left is right, and right is left. Every time we tried turning right, the swan did not want to turn. When peddling forward, it felt like we were barley moving. When peddling backwards, the swan was actually moving faster. The swan boats are lit at night, so you can see how much time you have left. The dimmer the lights, the less time you have. The swans and vests can use a cleaning.
Pricing: $13 per adult and $7.50 per child. One hour limit. Fun date night idea but get ready for a leg workout! You can also bring your family along. The swan holds a max...
Read moreHonestly, when we drove up and saw all the homeless tents it made us hesitate for a second. But we were able to park right next to the dock, the guy helping us at the dock was really kind and patient, and the experience once you're on the "lake" is really nice. Things to note: we had two adults and two kids. One adult had to sit in the back with the kids (both are really young), so only one person could pedal. Wasn't easy for one person, but workable if you've got a little stamina. boat wasn't rocky at all life vests are required. We had a kid who is 1, weighs 24 lbs, and the littlest vest was just small enough. there are little nooks in the back seat for bags, but it's on the ground (if you're bringing food) there's free street parking all around the park. If you can't find any, there is a paid lot north of the park on echo park ave do NOT count on using the bathrooms there covid stuff: make a reservation beforehand, wear a mask when at the dock, life vests are sprayed after every use, I'm sure they wipe down the boat between uses, but I'd suggest bringing your own alcohol wipes anyway
Overall, a really nice experience!! Gave it 4/5 because of the bathroom situation and the surroundings, but totally know both of those are out of the...
