I am a HUGE advocate of customer service and although they have a great variety of fish and clean tanks, this shop lacks good customer service. When I first visited this shop, I was told by the Mom who works there that they guide me from start to finish with my aquarium as I am a first time tank owner. Also stated that as long as I follow all of their steps if anything were to happen to a fish, they would replace it.

My second visit there, she asked me a lot of questions after I had done a lot of purchasing via Amazon to get things they did not carry that I liked and she was VERY rude when she found this out asking why she should answer any of my questions when I’m shopping elsewhere even though I had every intention on purchasing all of my fish and everything else from this shop. Also stating that I always come in there asking questions and never purchase anything which was NOT true, but who says these things as an owner to a customer interested in purchasing from your shop?? Even if it were for $1, I am bringing you business instead of taking my $1 elsewhere.

Fast forward, I have now purchased 29 fish and a crab from this shop spending almost 1K in fish within a month’s timeframe. I also even brought a friend in with me who purchased a little fish, a little tank, and things for her fish as well.

I purchased 18 fish and a crab a month ago then last week I purchased 6 more then the next day went back to purchase 5 more. Well 6 days go by after purchasing one of my most expensive fish from there and he is ill so I bring him in because of what I was told my first day I came into their shop (all of my other fish are 100% happy and healthy btw). All of a sudden, their policy only stands if your fish is ill within a day or two bringing it home so I was off by 4 days.. (not to mention they are closed on Tuesdays).

Long story short, they did not stand by their word. So I have just thrown 115 dollars out of the window. They are very transactional and could obviously care less about relationship building which is very sad because I looked forward to purchasing way more from them and I will be starting a second aquarium in December. They have unfortunately lost my business and I would be very skeptical of doing business here. Customer service and the way you treat people...

It’s a cool lil place nice selection of fish and exotic fish as well. Employees are nice and educated on most things. I give it a 3 because I bought fish from them twice and my fish have ich I’m not necessarily saying that they have fish with ich but twice in a row that’s just not a coincidence. Ich can form in many ways and in many circumstances. But for 5 years of keeping fish I have not dealt with ich at all. I have a 30 gallon planted aquarium that was cycled and season for over 3 months. I test very often for NO3, NO2, CL2, GH, TAL, KH, and PH and everything is normal I also had some inhabitants prior to putting the fish I got from here in and no ich for over 3 months. I do water changes weekly. I do everything on my part. The first time when I brought these new fish in I thought I did something wrong when I spotted ich and saw many fish die at least 75% of the fish I got from here died. I went for the second time to get the fish I lost to ich. And now I have spotted ich again. And so for one fish had died. Ich can be a very scary thing to handle to any new fish owners or older fish owners. So just have some treatment on hand prior to buying fish and at least have a...

I’ve been looking for a super hard to find fish to add to my home fresh water tank. I’ve gone to several big box pet stores (Petco, petsmart etc) and they all said they haven’t gotten these fish in over 2 years. Went to more established mom and pop stores (the type of stores that look down upon novices like myself) and then after i thought i exhausted all my options a quick google search turned up Tokyo Aquarium. It looks small and inconspicuous on the outside but when you come inside you will be in freshwater fish heaven. They have soooooo many rare fish at very VERY reasonable prices. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Everything from the fish to the decorations and food was top notch. I found fish that I’ve never seen and wanted to take all of them home. I highly recommend this place for all freshwater aquarium enthusiasts. You will not be disappointed at the selection of fish and accessories and above all customer service. Especially when they treat semi new fish keeper as well as experienced fish keepers. WIll definitely...

Went to a pumpkin patch and got a goldfish that died that same night. We came here because my son is obsessed with fish lately. This family owned business was a little busy when we came in but they still made sure to greet us and asked if we needed help. My wife and I don't know anything about fish and maintenance (hence the dead goldfish) and they began to explain the types of fish and how to keep them alive. As we picked out fish (two female beta fishes, since the males fight each other) we bought a bowl and other pieces and they would answer each of our question and also give us an explanation as to why we needed something or didn't need something and were never trying to upsell us for things we didn't need. We got it all setup and my wife and I are happy with our purchase and glad the way it came Will definitely return once we get a bigger place and get more fishes!
