The butcher in the meat department is rude and crooked and so is the store manager. So today I went to buy some ground beef. They didn't have any ready made packages for sale. The butcher got some beef and weighed it before putting it into the grinder to make ground beef. He said it was 4.5 lbs. I said OK. After grinding he only bagged 4.0 lbs and charged me for 4.5 lbs. I am assuming the rest of the meat I was being charged for was stuck inside their grinding machine. The cashier at the checkout weighs the meat and admits the price should be lowered for 4.0 lbs and calls the manager. The manager talks to the butcher and says that the butcher's price is correct. He says that I have to pay for the 4.5 lbs of meat that was put into the machine not the 4.0 lbs that came out of it. What a rip off! However, the overall cleanliness of the store is a serious concern. The inside is extremely dirty, the entrance glass doors are filthy, and even the parking lot is poorly maintained. There’s also a persistent unpleasant smell inside that makes the shopping experience uncomfortable.
It feels like the store is taking customers for granted, knowing there aren’t many alternatives around. But that’s no excuse for neglecting basic hygiene and presentation. Chicken they get from restaurant depot which is halal but not zabiha halal. A lot of European cookies and cakes are available.
I personally like their fattayas ( baked snack comes with different fillings of cheese meats spinach and chicken, it's a must try.
They bake fresh pita bread ( different variations) . You also get w lot it Arabic over the counter stuff.
The most impressive thing they do is that they cook free meals for the homeless every 15 days Close to 50 meals . It has been going on for more that 1.5 yrs as far as I know Hats off dino's bakery ....
