Omg, where do I start? As a resident of Western Louisville, this is the closest Kroger left within the area - so for that fact, I've given it an extra a star - because we have at least this Kroger left! Generally, when I have to go to the store, my overall emotions are dread, frustration and an anticipation of any sort of chaos. The stock, is obviously mediocre at best - if the product is actually available. The U-Scans are very seldom available to use or the lanes are severely limited. I never see anyone in the customer service section and more than anything, the panhandlers who openly roam the parking lots and front of the store make it an all the way around unattractive place to just even be! Going to the store is always an unpleasant and stressful adventure. While I'd generally suggest that most avoid it, many of us can't or it is just inconvenient.

Can't get anyone on the phone, not bakery not deli not even a manager. Horrible customer service. Been calling the store 1130am til 227 pm not one person has picked up the phone. Call out central ave, she has an attitude but at least she picked up the phone. Smh. Open interviews on Tuesday get there the manager called in, so no interview.. put an application in "we decided to go with another candidate" bs... I'm still sitting on hold now. Just trying to order a cake, by the time I get off work there's no one in the bakery to take orders. This so sad and frustrating frfr

I love this Kroger location. They are always packed but always well stocked, the other store in the neighborhood should take notes. My family surprised me with this amazing rainbow cupcakes for my 30th birthday. I cried I loved it. 😁 😊 It was bright, the cupcakes were soft and fluffy, and the icing was delicate whipped cream, and the white clouds had edible pearls in them. We always use this bakery for our families birthday and the custom cakes are so great and get better by the years, I love there variety.

Pan handlers out front and in the parking lot. Sale tickets on products no longer on sale when you check out. Recently started stopping customers and wanting to check their receipts on the way out all of which are annoying but this is the Kroger closest to me so I dealt with it. Kroger doesn’t have a policy regarding being stopped by security at the door after purchasing your items and I’m unsure of what the store policy is but I don’t mind to show you my receipt if it doesn’t slow me down, if there is a line to leave the store because you are checking receipts and comparing it to the contents of their cart and I’m holding bags full of stuff I’m going to side step the line and continue about my day. Some guards don’t like it and some don’t seem to care but I feel it’s a unnecessary inconvenience for me to stand there waiting and if you believe I stole something come ask me about it while I’m loading my groceries and I’ll happily show you my receipt. The reason for my bad review is tonight I was stopped by a security guard and told I couldn’t enter the store because they were closed even tho it was only 8:44, the sign in the window right next to him clearly said closing time was at 9. All I needed was milk and dog food. They didn’t know that and I’m sure they have been kept past closing because of a customer being selfish and entitled plenty of times and that’s why they do it but if you want to close the doors before 9:00 maybe change the sign to say you close at...

Where do I begin? Shopping at this Kroger is a dismal experience every single time. As a resident of the west end of Louisville this place is located in the most convenient area. However the staff is disrespectful at check out. They raise their prices every month they are not helpful it seems like the staff doesn’t come to work to work. They are argumentative dismissive lazy. This Kroger has rotten fruit horrible customer service long lines and hateful staff. I never have a good shopping experience they have a residential panhandling problem in the parking lot thank goodness they have a police officer there daily. But wow they have a police officer daily. I’ve complained to the managers every time I’ve had an issue and they have listened. I’ve also spoken with Kroger’s corporate headquarters about this issue on numerous occasions. At this point I’m just going to shop somewhere else because it’s a real problem when you go shopping with your hard earned money in an establishment that doesn’t respect you. I know I’m just one person and they could care less about getting my money and losing my money. But if more people understand that they don’t have to give any establishments money and get disrespect as change. They are a shabby branch and they have inferior products and they should just clean house or just close. I stand on this statement ten toes down!!! Clean up...

As stereotypical as every store in the west end of Louisville. Someone always thinks your stealing. Had a employee named Walter ask me "ma'am are you planning on paying for that stuff in the bottom of your stroller?" and asked if I had anything in my purse. In fact I was planning on paying, I paid for my order with credit and my 68 cancer stricken Grandmother's order with cash that was still sitting in the bottom of my stroller until I finished my order and grabbed my bags. Then the guy says I been watching you. Honestly, it was an insult and a shame that he had been watching me struggle through the store trying to balance a hand cart on top of my 10 month old baby's stroller filled to the brim and using the bottom of her stroller as extra space. As if I was to push her and drag behind me a cart. When I asked the kid if he wanted to check my purse he says "no, I believe you" smugly and goes back to hiding where ever he had been preying on the next single mother with baby in tow try to buy groceries. Unacceptable! If I could give these store a score lower than 1 star I...
