I went april 28th to get my belongings out. My key didn't fit which was weird so staff drilled my lock out. Popped the door open all my stuff gone. 2 ,4 wheelers thousands in tools. Manager will not call me back after tons of attempts and emails.the lock they had to drill wasn't my lock it was replaced with the same exact cylinder lock they sale with the units that are very hard to find and specific for that public storage no wounder my key was lost it was used to get in my unit then discarded. Last year I dropped 1 of my 2 keys off to get my storage sprayed roaches everywhere. I called n called but the guy I gave my key too wouldn't answer to give my key back nor they can't find my key in the office now, also that giy doesnt work there nomore, hmmm. I was told they throw all extra keys away? Really?Simple they used my key to unlock it and replaced the lock with a lock they had in their office. Going on 3 days manager will still not speak to me. 100% inside job. On my way out another lady pulled up and I told her what had happened. She was there to get her belongings because hers was emptied out also. Your stuff is not safe there. If it's there get it out now or go check on your belongings. It's a gut wrenching feeling to see all your valuables missing from a locked storage unit with cameras. But hey their cameras don't go back over 3 months so your screwed on that too. Several times I went up and the coded gate has been wide open. Nobody is ever there nor do they ever answer the phone. Joke of a place and manager that's supposedly sick. I'm sorry but if you own a business and over 8,000 of a customers belongings were stolen I'd call at least. 3 days now still nothing from manager or gm. Thought my stuff was safe. Guess not!! When he was on his way home from vacation about a week ago and he was looking through his email just to have something to do in the car and saw where they had sent him one on June 5th about how his automatic payment had not gone through for either May or June. He called and found out they had charged him $100 in late fees AND they were preparing to auction off his stuff!!! He asked why he hadnât been called (Fort Locks called him the ONE time there was an issue with his autopay and they fixed the autopay because he had a new card) and the guy rudely said they do everything electronically. Iâm sorry, but isnât a phone call electronic? Itâs at least good customer service, but apparently, this facility doesnât care about that. They just care about making money. If my brother wouldnât have checked his email that day, his stuff wouldâve been sold without his knowledge. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was about to rent a small one just to put extra things holding up space but after this I refuse to go with a company that couldnât care less about their customers.
