Unassigned delivery due to line wrapped around store. The line was not moving at all. I sat for 10 minutes watching and NOTHING moved. Drivers must have a dedicated pick up area for V.I.P. Delivery CUSTOMERS to receive their food fast. The CUSTOMER pays a delivery premium. They are V.I.P. and before you say anything, yes you! The one with their mouth open getting ready to say something, you wouldn't pay in advance for a ticket to a movie theater with a special picked buy you seat, pay maybe $5 extra, and expect to get there and wait in line because someone sat in your seat, and management was all "so what, no explanation or $5 back" without showing their face, would you? On top of that you aren't even able to get their attention or even an usher to help, if they have any anymore. No, you wouldn't like that at all as a customer paying that premium. Nope, not-at-all. You wouldn't because you are supposed to be a VIP. You thought you were important enough when you paid $5 extra for that seat to be yours, eh? Well, VIP that's you AND now you know, it's the customer who ordered delivery. Also, for drivers our pay does not cover waiting the extensive amounts of time we do. Mot even close. We are losing money, more wear and tear on our vehicles, in turn the customer blames us and we get no tip most times. The time and cost for us is inflating. Here it is 12:20 am on Monday December 11, 2017. I was looking for somewhere to eat before having to go back into work. I pass up more than 15 restaurants and all of them was closed except White Castle.
I pull in and 20 seconds later a friendly voice says "Thanks for coming to White Castle, order when you're ready". 'Ok thanks" I reply. Looking over the menu I couldn't find a meal that went along with my taste buds fast enough so I just ordered what my stomach was going for. " Yes ma'am may I have a jalapeno cheeseburger, a regular cheeseburger with extra pickle, a 6piece chicken ring, a crispy chicken with cheese and a small chocolate shake? " I asked with kindness. She repeated the order flawlessly and told me to proceed to the second window. I pay she hands me my food and shake and returns my card and then I knew I just had to pull over. Checking the bag everything was there. Chicken rings was amazing! They was fresh and crispy and the shake was delicious as well. Those two made my night. The burgers was super soggy. Like water was poured on the side to warm the burgers up or something. I had to peel off half of the bottom bun. I took a couple bites out of the chicken and it was warm but not fresh. I would wait longer to have fresher food like the chicken rings. Hopefully next time everything will be fresh...
Read moreI just went into this one particular White Castle to get a fountain drink. It was before lunch and it was fairly slow at the drive-thru with only a few customers coming in. The problem I had with the place was. It had trash all over the floor. In the dining area and tables. In the waiting line there was trash and a wrong feeling to the surface of the floor. As if the surface had been contaminated with something or was not cleaned properly. There was spillage and trash all around the soda fountain area. The soda fountain itself was not properly calibrated and was not registering people's fingers on the screen as it was a digital multi dispenser soft drink machine. The cashier was quick, efficient, and friendly as they took my order. I did not check the bathroom or look really hard around at the care and maintenance of the facility as just looking at the condition of the place I think it gave me enough of an idea that I probably did not want to investigate any further. I was quite glad that I had not ordered any food. As I don't think I would have felt very comfortable eating in that environment. This was my first time at this particular location so in the near future I will try to get back to this location and give it another go to see if these problems are a continuing problem or it was just one...
