I ordered a fire pit in April 14, 2021. I was told due to Covid delays to expect to receive it in August at the latest. It is now November. Has anyone called me from the store. No. I called twice, once in August and then in October. The fire pit is sitting in a storage unit, but no one is avaliable to pick it up and ship it to Ardmore. I paid $3,000 and considering canceling this order. Their response when I asked them when can I expect the shipment is "we don't know". I knew Covid would delay things, but the item just needs to be delivered to the store and has been sitting for two months. Ridiculous.
Update: 11/27/21. Still no firepit. I called today. They said the top of the fire pit was shipped, but it was lost. They are telling the company to make a new one. I am hoping by Jan 1, 2022, I get a fire pit people. Tropicraft has not offered any money back or store credit for this issue. This is upsetting.
Update: Feb 2022. I was told that the showroom ordered the wrong firepit in April 2021. I wanted round, they ordered square. The sales person asked me if I still wanted the product. I said no, I did not get what I ordered and therefore do not want the product. The sales person told me that if I wanted the round firepit it would now be subject to 2022 pricing. I asked for a refund. In my view this is not customer service. A week later I got a call from the store asking me if I wanted to order the round fire pit I had attempted to order almost a year before for the 2021 price. I had lost faith in this company at this point. The lack of updates on the product, coupled with the lack of transparency on what had happened. It sounded like the company was befuddled why I wouldn't just take the square pit and be done. Advertisement is very confusing in the store between individual pieces and advertised sets. We were very clear in which set/pieces we wanted and why, only to be delivered a portion of what we thought we had purchased. This is only after the original delivery showed up with broken furniture and required a re-order and a new delivery. After explaining to the owner our disappointing experience, he continued to accept zero responsibility, blame the delivery team even though it's the same company, and refused to understand how the advertisement can be confusing...
