Gel Nail Spa Salon — Local services in Lower Paxton Township

I’m not one to leave reviews unless I 100% feel I need to, but I was charged 52 dollars for gel nails with butterfly decals on them that needed to be secured under top coat. The nail tech who did my nails was very friendly and sweet I just feel as though she didn’t really know what she was doing. My nails are the thickness of acrylics and extremely bumpy. Day two and the the butterflies are already popping off because they weren’t put on correctly. When I had first arrived a nail tech filed them and put dehydrator on and then sent me to the waiting room because her other appointment got there. She told me not to touch anything and I sat there for ten minutes to finally get passed off to the tech that actually did my nails. Gel Nail Spa is the only nail salon I will go to in Central PA. Anna, the owner, is an amazing woman who's been doing my nails for around 3 years now & I will not see anyone else. She's so kind, welcoming & she always does a fantastic job on my nails. I'm allergic to gel, so I have to get dip powder, and her salon is the only one I know that doesn't use gel top coats to seal the dip. She has a non-UV top coat that is specific to the dip nail process & my nails last 2-3 weeks! No peeling, no chipping, no cracks. Her salon has so many colour options from brands like OPI, Sakura, DND, 7Star & others. Other salons may have a few colour options for dip, not Anna- if she's got the colour in gel, she has the dip powder version too. Do Not Waste your $50 here for dipping powder. I’m offended & so disappointed in the owner’s insults after only 5 days of an under nail chemical reaction- nails turning yellow in the middle. Owner accused me of using chemicals on my nails- not true. This was indeed bad dipping powder as stated to me by a highly trained nail tech at another salon who’s been in business over 25 years. The cuticles are unacceptable as they look terrible from left over powder residue. Please save yourself time & your hard earned $$$$- choose a better place & avoid this nasty owner.
