I've been taking classes at Mud Queen pottery since October and cannot recommend this studio enough! If you're interested in taking classes I highly recommend signing up for their wait list. I looked into several pottery studios in the Harrisburg/Lancaster/Lebanon area and am so glad I went with them. Like most other pottery studios in our area there is a long waitlist, which they mention on their site, but Maggie and Audra were very responsive and got back to me sooner than the three other pottery studios I had joined a waitlist on.
My instructor is Maggie who is absolutely lovely, she's incredibly talented, knows so much about ceramic art and is so very helpful! I've grown leaps and bounds in my ceramic art with her instruction, she's an absolute delight to work with! Audra also stops in from time to time during our class hours and is incredibly kind and helpful as well. As for the other teachers, you cannot ask for a greater group of instructors! They're truly all so very up beat, accommodating, knowledgeable, and easy to work with!
I've even bought a few things from their shop since their ceramic pieces are just breathtaking. The shop is conveniently located right off Linglestown Road so it makes it easy to pop in and be on your way. They make fantastic gifts for family and friends. I've gotten so many compliments from the pieces I've purchased from their...
Read moreI have had the pleasure of visiting Mud Queen Pottery several times while passing through the area, and each time, I am reminded why it's one of my favorite stops. The owner is, without a doubt, the most TALENTED pottery artist I've ever encountered. Her creativity is boundless, and her work is a true source of inspiration.
What makes the experience even more special is the owner herself. She has such a warm, genuine personality, and her sweet smile makes you feel like her best friend from the moment you walk in. I follow her on social media, eagerly awaiting any new pieces, as her work is always in high demand and sells out fast!
This past Christmas, I was gifted one of her beautiful pottery pieces. To say I was excited would be an understatement. I was moved to tears of joy—it was truly a heartfelt moment. Now, that piece is proudly displayed in my home where I can admire it every day.
The studio itself is a wonderful space filled with creativity, and I only wish I lived closer so I could take one of her pottery classes. Mud Queen Pottery is a gem, and if you're ever in the area, it's well...
Read moreI started out as a student here two years ago and was immediately hooked. I took a month long class (for about the same price as Mud Queen's eight week class!) at another local pottery studio a year prior and came out empty handed. Lauren ensured that I left the first month of class with two pieces that I now cherish. I love it here so much it's basically become a second home. A beautiful studio, talented and helpful teachers, and very gracious about people making wrong turns into their...
