I can’t say enough good things about Janine and Unveiled Bridal… but get ready for a book! Janine found me (yes- she reached out to me) after I got scammed by another “Bridal Shop”. I had posted my experience in a local wedding group and Janine reached out with kind and encouraging words and offered to give me a wonderful experience and help me re-find my dream gown. I took her up on the offer and made an appointment!
Right upon entering the appointment Janine made my mom and I feel welcome, warm, hopeful and excited again. I showed her pictures of my previous dress and she tried to find something like it. After trying on a handful with no “WOW! This is it!” moment, she started bringing in ones that were out of the box and had elements similar to what I liked in my first dress but still completely different. All the dresses are beautiful that Unveiled has but once you’ve already picked one there are certain things you know you do and don’t want in your wedding dress. She put me in one that I absolutely loved except for a few small tweaks and additions. My original dress was supposed to have certain customizations that I still wanted with my new dress, Janine reassured me that this would be absolutely no problem at all to add and make my dream dress- whether done through the original designer or their preferred seamstress! I took the time to sleep on it because it was a big decision picking out my SECOND wedding dress. When I called Janine back to place my order she was so kind, cheerful and had all the details written down. I made my payment online and Janine had an estimated delivery date within hours(something I didn’t get from the previous shop).
Janine understood and eased the anxiety I felt from the first bridal shop and gave me the experience every single bride should have! When my dress arrived she let me know that day and when I got to the shop to try it on- it literally brought tears to my eyes- it was perfection, even without the seamstress additions. She let my twirl around in it for a bit and hyped me up the whole time! She took notes that I could pass along to the seamstress to make all my visions come to life. I even ended up ordering the appliques to match my dress to be added to my veil through Janine and she was once again AMAZING and full of communication.
We’re 3 months away from my wedding now and my alterations are currently in the process. I’m so excited to put on my wedding dress in a few short months and walk down the aisle to the love of my life. Thanks to Janine, this second time around shopping for a dress was a breeze and she truly loves helping brides find “their dress”. Read moreUnsatisfactory Treatment – Dress Not Worn on Wedding Day I am a September 2023 bride, and my Unveiled wedding gown was not worn on my wedding day. Upon receiving my wedding dress in preparation for my first fitting, I noticed that my dress looked different than I had remembered. The dress I received had a blush/pink color lining, whereas I remember trying on more of a truer white dress. I reached out to the shop to see if the dress could have been ordered incorrectly (since it was offered in multiple colors) and they sent me a screenshot of the tag on the sample dress, assuring me that the correct dress was ordered. I explained that I was unhappy with the color, and they continued to insist that the dress was correct. A week went by, and the shop did not reach out to check-in with me. I took it upon myself to contact the shop to ask them if I could bring my dress into the studio to compare it to the sample dress I had tried on. I would like to think that I was politely trying to get to the bottom of how my dress could look so different compared to what I tried on and was pictured in, while trying to manage my feelings of my dream dress vision crumbling. However, after suggesting that the overhead lighting in the bridal studio could have caused the dress to look drastically different than it does in other lighting, the owner of Unveiled became very defensive and berated me from afar; she did not even have a conversation with me to my face. Read moreWish I could give less stars. Went in for an appointment and nobody was at the front counter. We waited to see if someone would come, but nobody came. After 5 minutes, we had to go search for them and listen for talking. When we found them, they were surprised that we were there even though we had a 2:00pm appointment. They were very disorganized, and did not have their paperwork together. When they pulled the dress selection for the party, there were 3 dresses: 2 were a size 12, and one a size 28. Being plus sized, we couldn’t try on the other dresses and only had one option. I had to go and find the colors the bride requested we order for comparison. With two of us trying on the same dress, they rushed us. Not only with trying on dresses, but the entire time. After we said we’d choose the dress and which colors, they took our measurements. The person doing the measurements was nice and wrote them down without saying the actual sizes. However, when it came to ordering and confirming the size of each dress, the person who rang us out spoke extremely loud about our sizes. It made me feel uncomfortable having my dress size pronounced in such disrespect. And she had the wrong size on the paper at first. I would not be surprised if the wrong size came in for my friend. They did not tell us how long it would take for the dresses to come in, or how we would know to pick them up. I asked and they said text or email, but they never took my email. 0/10.
