I have never felt inclined to leave a business review until today. I went in this afternoon at 1pm to pick up a new suit for a funeral this week. I was greeted by a woman fairly quickly, and explained to her that I needed a single breasted blue suit, something I could wear in any season, and that was relatively flexible. She went off to grab a jacket for me, then I was immediately passed over to some other guy for measurements/etc.
I asked several times if there were other options aside from the one I tried on and was told that there was only one jacket and one trouser in the whole store that could be tailored to my needs— I even explained that I didn’t care if it was a $400 suit or $1000 suit. Nothing, he says, just that one. He chalked me up and told me to come back in a few minutes. I didn’t even try to push back because I’m working on 2 hours of sleep from being up with my grandfather the entire night as he passed. I’m exhausted, I need something to wear, and I need it relatively quickly.
Immediately after chalking me up he leads me to the register and tells me it will be $439. Ok, no problem there. I pay and then realize he didn’t even check the length of the sleeves on the jacket. I ask to try it on and the woman who originally helped me says the gentlemen advised her the sleeves “weren’t that bad” in length. I am not exaggerating when I say the jacket sleeves touched my knuckles. “Not that that bad,” he says. He cares so little about the quality of his work and the concerns of his customers that he actually said this? She agreed they are long and marks them with chalk and tells me it will be another 45 minutes.
Point being, this was hands down the poorest excuse for customer service I have ever seen in my life. It was a miserable experience- rushed, pushed, with the only goal being to sell a suit regardless of my experience.
Maybe I’m the exception and caught them on a bad day. Maybe I misinterpreted what they said because I’m a little emotional from the last 24 hours. Maybe I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I guarantee you I will never shop there again or recommend that anyone does. Absolutely the worst service experience I’ve ever had, and if I didn’t desperately need this for a funeral Thursday I would return it....
Read moreOverall incredibly frustrating experience as the groom for a wedding. To start, after receiving a group number to send to my groomsmen, I got several texts over the next couple of weeks as people tell me that the number is not working, and they had to look the wedding up manually. I double checked the receipt I was given and confirmed that we had been given an order number that doesn't work. Not a huge deal, but I digress. Picking up my clothes the day prior, I noticed that my pants were missing a button. I asked how long for this to be fixed. I was told I could come back tomorrow and it'd "most likely" be fixed. Tomorrow. On my wedding day. Thankfully my best man took care of it and picked it up on time. Open the bag to find a stunning LACK of pants, requiring me to drive back to the store (on my wedding day, when things are going on) to pick up my pants that had somehow been forgotten from the bag. Should they have checked the bag before leaving, given previous history? Probably, but they really shouldn't be on us to do their job for them. Finally, Trying to return the suit the day after, given our instructions to come back by 9pm; they even wrote it on the receipt. Show up to the store, and lo and behold, they're on holiday hours and already closed. Just overall very frustrating that we need to double check all of their work when it's supposed to be an easier process for the wedding party overall. In addition, 3 other people in the wedding party had issues with their clothing, including wrong sizes in pants and missing parts. Unfortunately, these aren't really issues we can reconcile the day before the event. Thankfully, I had a great group of guys who helped make the...
Read moreOverall, a fairly poor experience.
On my initial visit, there was only one customer and several employees yet I had to wait several minutes only to then be directed to the "check In" process. After completing the check-in, I was asked all the same questions again. I was handed off to other employees twice in the span of 15 mins but maybe it was shift change. When it was time to do my pickup, I called in advance to verify the item was ready. I was on hold for 12 mins. I showed up within 10 mins of the confirmation and started all over with another lengthy wait to bring the jacket from the back to the front. When I went in for the return, just stood at the door holding a bag for a little while before hanging it up and notifying an employee of the return. The next day I received a reminder to do the return. When I called to check on the status, during business hours, call went to voicemail. No call back. Nothing.
I'm not sure if anyone else in the area provides a similar service but I'll definitely check for alternatives next time.
I checked the reviews to see if perhaps I just had an unfortunate one-off experience. Most of the recent "reviewers" have left less than 5 total reviews which is a little suspicious. I can't prove they are mostly burner accounts but...
